Surrendering To The Gay Puckboy - Sebastian Davidson

    Surrendering To The Gay Puckboy

    By Sebastian Davidson

The loud thud of a hockey stick hitting the ice echoed through the arena as Evan skated off the rink, his head held low. He knew what was coming. The coach had already pulled him aside earlier in the week to give him the news – he didn't fit into the team's new plan for the season. Standing in front of his locker, Evan took off his sweaty jersey and skates, trying his best to keep the tears at bay.

As he walked out of the arena, his mind swirled with thoughts of the future. What was he going to do now? He had spent his life playing hockey and had never even considered a backup plan. His head down, Evan wandered into a local neighborhood bar, desperate for a stiff drink and maybe some company.

Sitting at the bar, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Hey there, a rough voice said. He turned to see a handsome, rugged-looking man with a devilish grin. Mind if I sit?

Evan shrugged and motioned for him to take a seat. The man sat down next to him, ordering a beer. Name's Jake. And you are? he asked, offering Evan his hand.

Evan, he replied, shaking his hand. I got kicked off the hockey team today.

Ouch, Jake said, wincing. Tough day. Want a drink?

Evan nodded, grateful for the offer. As the night wore on, the conversation flowed easily between the two men. Jake had a way of making Evan feel relaxed, something he hadn't felt in a while. And the more he learned about Jake, the more he was drawn to him.

So, what do you do for work? Jake asked, taking a sip of his beer.

Evan hesitated before saying, I don't have a job anymore. Hockey was my life. And now it's gone.

Jake looked at him for a moment before saying, I can tell you're a good guy. I might have something for you down the line. We'll see.

Evan was intrigued. What kind of work do you do?

Jake just grinned mysteriously. The kind of work that pays well. Let's just say I have a lot of connections.

As the night drew to a close, Jake slipped Evan his number and said, Call me if you ever need anything. And I mean anything.

Evan left the bar feeling lighter than he had in days. His future wasn't looking as bleak as he thought it would. And maybe, just maybe, Jake could help him find his way.

Evan sat at the bar, nursing his drink and feeling sorry for himself. He couldn't believe he had been kicked off the hockey team. It was his life, his passion, and now it was gone.

Hey there, can I buy you a drink? A voice interrupted his thoughts.

Evan looked up and saw a tall, muscular man with a devilish grin on his face. He had a rugged look about him, with a hint of danger.

Sure, Evan replied, surprised by the sudden offer.

The man sat down next to him and ordered two shots of whiskey. Name's Jake, he said, holding out his hand.

Evan, he replied, shaking his hand.

Jake's hand was rough, but surprisingly gentle. Evan felt a shiver go down his spine.

So, what brings you here tonight? Jake asked, taking a sip of his whiskey.

I just got kicked off the hockey team, Evan replied, feeling embarrassed.

Jake raised an eyebrow. That's too bad. But I might have something that could help you out.

Evan's interest was piqued. What do you mean?

I know a guy who's looking for some muscle, Jake said, grinning. He's got a security company and needs some guys to work the door.

Evan was skeptical. He had never done anything like that before, but he needed the money. What kind of security?

The good kind, Jake replied, winking.

They chatted some more, sharing laughs and stories. Evan couldn't help but be attracted to Jake's rugged charm. He had never been with a man before, but he felt a pull towards Jake that he couldn't explain.

As the night wore on, they both became more flirtatious. Jake leaned in close and whispered in Evan's ear, You wanna get out of here?

Evan felt a rush of excitement. He had never been with a man before, but he was willing to try. He nodded his head, and they both slipped out of the bar and into the cool night air.

As they drove away, Evan looked out the window, taking in the new scenery around him. He still couldn’t quite believe that he had just met someone like Jake. The man oozed confidence and danger – a far cry from Evan’s former life as a hockey player.

Jake shot Evan a glance. So, what do you think? he asked, breaking the silence.

Evan turned back to face him. About what? he asked, confused.

About us, Jake replied, his tone smug. We definitely have chemistry, right?

Evan felt heat rise to his cheeks. He wasn’t used to this kind of attention, especially from someone as attractive as Jake. I mean, yeah, I guess, he stammered.

Jake chuckled. Good, ‘cause I want to see more of you, he said.

Evan felt a flutter in his chest at Jake’s words. He couldn’t deny that he was intrigued by this man, but there were still so many unknowns. What exactly do you mean by that? he asked cautiously.

Jake shrugged. I don’t know – dinner, drinks, a movie… he trailed off suggestively, a wicked glint in his eye.

Evan bit his lip nervously. What about your job? he asked, remembering the offer that Jake had made earlier in the night.

Jake waved his hand dismissively. That can wait. Right now, I’m more interested in spending time with you, Evan.

Evan felt a thrill run through him
