    Check these settings before you head out with your camera!

    CAMERA BODY TOP

    1.Eyelet for Camera Strap: Used to attach the camera strap.

    2.Focal Plane Mark: Used when you need to know the exact distance from the subject to the focal plane of the camera.

    3.Speaker: Used for sound.

    4.Accessory Shoe: This is where you attach external accessories like flash units.

    5.Mode Dial: Used to set the shooting mode.

    6.Movie Record Button: Press to start and stop recording when shooting video.

    7.Power Switch: Turn camera on and off.

    8.Shutter Release: Press halfway to activate autofocus and all the way to take photo.

    9.Exposure Compensation / Aperture Button: Used with the Command dial to adjust exposure compensation / Used with the Command dial in Manual exposure mode to adjust the aperture.

    10.Live View Switch: Turns Live View on or off.

    11.Command Dial: Used to adjust camera settings.

    CAMERA BODY FRONT

    1.AF-Assist Illuminator: Used to illuminate the subject in low light so the autofocus can work.

    2.Built-in Flash: Used to light the subject in low light (shown closed).

    3.Microphone: Used to record audio when recording video.
