Papa Joe Coslett
Born in S. Florida in a time that no longer exists. Raised by an ALPHA male and taught to be an ALPHA male. Taught life is not about material things. Life is about learning to be the best we can be. Life is not about the self but how we can help others along our journey in life. Taught to take time to smell the roses or enjoy the journey in life. If we help others we have a good life. When life is about the self and worldly possessions expect misery and suffering to accompany you on your journey. If life is worth living then write about it and pass it on. People say I am the most positive person they have ever met. In reality I just eliminate the negative or that which takes value away. One must test himself to understand the man he is and what he wants to become.

MY STORY
In the beginning, we are born into this world, and our needs are basically met by our parents. We quickly begin trying to learn things for ourselves.
We are born into this world without an operation manual. We try and figure our way through life by trial and error. Many times we seek knowledge from others, but they do not give us the guides to the game of life, just stories from their beliefs.
One of the key books for instruction is the Bible. This is also in story form. Unfortunately, religion enters, and so does man. Man uses the phrases in the Bible to say what he wants, and many times out of context. Again, we are confused and left with stories.
We seek information from our parents. In most cases, they only let us know to learn from our mistakes. They never bothered to learn the guides to the game of life.
This is really about the journey and struggle of learning how to become a better person every day, the trials and tribulations it took to see the lessons that needed to be learned, to try and pass on my experience so others do not have to endure the hardships it took to learn some basic lessons.
I was a senior in high school, when I realized how we were never taught how to use our most basic functions. There was no simple place to get the guides to the game of life, to really know how we are supposed to function as humans.
I took an art class. The teacher was very passionate about art. She explained to me that I could not draw because I did not know how to see.
My response was that I could see a gnat on a girl’s butt a mile away. She laughed and asked me to pay attention and open my mind to what she taught, and I would be able to draw.
This caught my attention, and she began to teach me, and I learned to draw. She had forever changed my life. When I met her, I thought I knew how to see. I had 20/20 vision. I was beginning to understand there are guides for everything, and I really did not have a clue.
At the end of the year, the teacher praised me for how far I had come. I thanked her for her help. Then she put a challenge to me. She told me I was beginning to see. Did I think I knew how to hear or breathe or even think? This stuck like a knife in my back. I went out that night and bought a blank hard-bound book and decided to write down the guides to life as they were revealed to me. She caused me to be an active life-long student of life.
I started to read thousands of books, searching for the guides to the game of life. I learned a lot of techniques for things. I learned how people write a lot of words but still no guides to life. I always remembered a phrase in the Bible that said, Seek and you shall find.
Slowly, through education and trial and error, they began to come.
As I learned them, I tested them to see if they work for everyone. To be the truth, it had to be simple and working.
I have been very fortunate to meet so many great people in my life to learn from some of the best in the world, even learning wisdom from the mouth of an innocent child.
I was reading the Bible and breaking down some of the parables in it to reveal what was really being said. In the time of Jesus, he gave a parable of if a man has eyes, let him see, if a man has ears, let him hear. This parable confused his apostles. Jesus explained to them that man is not taught how to see or how to hear so they can know the truth.
To me, this was amazing that for thousands of years, we have been led by the blind and the dumb.
In these writings, I will attempt to pass on some of what I learned. May your journey be smooth and your greatness revealed unto you.
WHO AM I YOU SHOULD
READ THIS
My life is about adding value to others people’s lives. My motto in life is One man can make a difference.
The guides I present in this book are the way I live my life every day. I have been fortunate enough to have lived an extraordinary life, being privileged to learn from some of the best people possible. I tell others I am a selfish person. My mission is making others lives better so my world becomes a better place for me to live in.
My purpose is to add value in some way to others lives, moving my life to a better future. I take action everyday to add value to other people’s lives.
I like telling the truth as it is always simple. When it gets complicated, it is something other than the truth.
Since 1971, I have been active in what we now call NLP. Neuro linguistic programming is a fancy term for the study of patterns of success. Success always leaves a pattern. We call these patterns guides. There are few rules in life as rules are meant to be broken. Guides are much different. It allows for the exception to the rule.
When you can learn from established patterns of success, you have a short-cut to a successful way of life. Fail to learn the lesson and it will be repeated until you get it and usually with added suffering.
Early in life, I chose to look at the struggles of life as a game. If I look at life as a struggle, it could be very hard. Playing it as a game is much more fun.
To win any game, you need to know the rules or guides to the game. When you look at life as a game, it is more fun to play. It takes some of the harshness away that life can bring us. Things become only another challenge to get to the next level.
To understand, we need to know how to use the assets we have been given, other-wise, the game plays us instead of us playing the game. Learning how our assets work, I call it the art of being human.
I have and will always be an active person trying to find the important guides to life, the guides we should have been taught but never were.
Always remain coach-able, and never assume you know everything. If you do assume, find the best and compare your knowledge and see how little you know.
A wise man increases his knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 1:5
A fool despises wisdom and hates instruction.
Proverbs 1:7
PREFACE
This book was not written to tell you how to change your life. It is more about making little tweaks in your life, giving you some ah-ha moments and bring better clarity to your life, to bring some patterns of success that can add value to others.
You are already a great person. It is just about bringing that greatness out so others can see the magnificent you.
Nothing is complicated or hard to do. I have always been under the firm belief that truth is always simple. I try to follow the rule of keeping it simple.
We take for granted many things in our everyday lives, just like turning the faucet handle and expecting water to flow from the faucet. There are principles behind everything. Many, we were not taught, and we never took the time to think about them, many we just take for granted. Tweaking some of our thoughts changes the whole game of life.
I would never want or pretended to be some kind of genius who has figured everything out. I look at life as an observer and see what adds value to my life, how making small distinctions changes the whole picture.
I only hope to add some value to your life.
I believe in one person can make a difference. I believe in being a rock dropped in a puddle. The ripples first go out. Soon they return. Add value to others’ lives and value
