The Missing Heiress
Chapter 1
Detective John Cooper had been investigating the case of the missing heiress for three weeks. Amelia, the daughter of a wealthy businessman, had disappeared without a trace. Cooper had no leads and was getting frustrated. He decided to visit her last known location to see if he could find any new clues.
He arrived at the luxurious hotel where Amelia had been staying. He talked to the receptionist and showed her Amelia's photo. The receptionist said that Amelia had checked out a week ago and that she had left no forwarding address. Cooper thanked her and left the hotel.
As he walked down the street, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. He had been in the detective business for years and had a good intuition for these things. He noticed a shady-looking man following him. He turned around, but the man disappeared into the crowd. Cooper decided to keep an eye out for him.
He went back to the station and pulled up Amelia's file. There was nothing unusual about her background, no enemies or people who would want to harm her. He decided to check her social media accounts to see if he could find anything useful. He found that she had been posting about a new friend she had made, a woman named Sarah. Cooper decided to track down Sarah to see if she knew anything about Amelia's disappearance.
He found Sarah at a coffee shop and approached her. Sarah seemed nervous and hesitant to speak to him. He showed her Amelia's photo and asked if she knew anything about her disappearance. Sarah denied knowing anything and quickly left the coffee shop.
