    INTRODUCTION

    When I look back through my life, I can now see my life purpose very clearly, although it was not obvious at the time. I have always tried to follow my intuition even though it was not logical at the time, and certainly did not seem that way to friends and family. I have found that where intuition is concerned there always seems to be a conflict between the emotional and logical aspects of situations. For this reason, I believe that we have to feel our way through life experiences taking notice of coincidences and synchronicities, the heart and the mind,

    Looking back, I can see that from childhood I gradually became aware that my energy had a healing effect on people. My varied employments and life circumstances have caused me to have contact with the public in a supportive and healing way. It feels that I was guided to where I am today through these experiences.

    I am a great believer in synchronicity and following signs from the Universe and this led me to unintentionally enrol on a spiritual healing course! I believe nothing happens by accident and it was definitely destined that I should take that course! On completion my Tutor suggested that I teach it!! Coincidentally, I already had a training role at work. This naturally led to me undertaking teacher training in further education.

    The training seemed endless at this time and as well as the teacher training course it also included foundation and advanced Kinesiology courses. My childhood passion for crystals led me to go on to train as a Crystal Therapist. These courses were inspirational and seemed to answer all the questions of the metaphysics of illness and the need to live a life that was inspirational and happy.

    This led to me writing and teaching my own accredited courses and workshops. I have now put my training and learning through life experiences together to form this book.

    However, as always life moves on and we are now faced with the Age of Aquarius and all the changes and challenges to our spiritual awakening that that brings. This book is therefore, for people that are wishing to explore ways to live a happy and healthy life style. It is also designed to encompass, motivate and inspire those that have been searching for a more enlightened approach to life.

    CHAPTER 1 ~

    BEFORE WE START

    Over the past few years, we have heard a lot about the Ascension of Earth. It is believed that in order to facilitate this all the inhabitants on Earth need to raise their vibration through spiritual awakening. It is anticipated that this will bring peace, unconditional love and harmony to our experiences of life on the planet. Throughout this book I have devised and explained techniques that are designed to do just that on a personal level, and in so doing start the changes that will change the world into a loving harmonious place to live and therefore, support its Ascension.

    Generally speaking, I have found that by using the Universal Laws of Cause and Effect, people can investigate their lives and change the way they act and react in a positive way to life circumstances. This enables living a happy, healthy and purposeful life without the need to hide emotions and vulnerabilities.

    The conception of this book, therefore, is based on the natural Laws of the Universe and the fact that these are the Universal Principles that govern all of creation. They start with the Law of Mentalism, which is the container for the other six laws, and describes that we live in a Universe of pure consciousness. This means that we have the ability to create anything we wish to achieve in our life. These seven basic principles work on the precept that everything is connected to everything else and that we can use the effects of giving and receiving, cause and effect, intention and detachment to attract positive changes into our lives. By communing with, and, watching these principles play out in our natural surroundings we can learn how to use this pure potential to create a life full of joy, happiness and abundance.

    Through the years I have begun to understand how simple these laws are yet how difficult we find it to apply them to our lives. Not only have I taught people these concepts through healing techniques, I have run workshops and courses to help people to change their ways in order to live a fulfilled life that makes them happy.

    Many of us strive for success in our life, but what does that mean? How is success measured? Being focussed on chasing the dream, and striving for great achievements to reach that ultimate goal can be very stressful. If the journey brings stress, breakdowns and leaves you depleted and miserable is it a successful life? If, you have found yourself in this loop you may be looking for an alternative lifestyle that brings great enjoyment, happiness and ultimate success. If this mirrors your thought processes you may like to practice some of the meditations and exercises in this book.

    HOW TO USE THIS BOOK

    As has already been stated this book has been written for those that are exploring their own personal development with a view to raising their vibration alongside the Ascension of Earth in order to live the life they desire. In fact, it could be described as a guide to help see life through the lens of enlightenment.

    However, life is not a constant, in fact the old paradox that the only constant is change, leads to the realisation that our lives are changing all the time. As we are already beginning to understand, the Earth and all her inhabitants are changing through the process of scientific discovery and spiritual enlightenment. In fact, life on Earth is evolving through global events and through scientific developments which lead us to realise that there is more to it than we are aware.

    As you look through the pages of the book, it will become obvious that it has no beginning and no end! Just like our experiences through life, it goes round through the process of birth, death and rebirth. This means that, just as everything connects to everything else so does the writing in this book. For this reason, I have highlighted references that will take you to connected concepts in different chapters.

    The book contains ideas, concepts, techniques and exercises that will enable you to connect with your spiritual self, and it will become obvious that, by connecting with the natural world and ancestral learning (pg 29), it is possible to develop an intuitive and more enlightened approach to life.

    By looking to our own lives and applying some of the Principles of the Universe (pg 87) we can unblock the flow and redirect it, and, so put our lives back on track. This can happen by following the meditations and suggested exercises in each chapter.

    By following these you will come to understand that by paying close attention, and awakening your senses to what is happening around you, you will be able to detect the signs of change that lead to the heightening of your vibration. By being very vigilant, and keeping a record of your insights, you will also be able to document and record your progress!

    I hope you will enjoy carrying out the exercises within this book again and again. Also prove to yourself that the Ascension process brings a state of enlightenment which brings an awareness of self that is unconditional. It need not be a stressful process, but is necessary, in order to manifest a reality that you really feel at one with.

    KEEPING A JOURNAL

    In order to record your progress and see how you are developing it is important to keep a Journal. This is a tool that can be used to keep your balance, to look at where you are, where you have been and where you are going. Therefore, all the entries should be dated.

    A journal is essential for keeping a record of the coincidences, synchronicities and the pieces of intuitive information that come to you. By recording them you will be able to recall the insights you have had and the connections you have made as well as your progress.

    Journalling meets the need to have a safe space to share your feelings, organise your information and study the things that you bring back from your meditations, intuitive experiences, visions or just daily life lessons. By recording these experiences, you will be able to notice the progress you are making and the signs and symbols that may be indicating the next course of action.

    Whatever method you choose to record your experiences it has to be user friendly so that it is not so much of a chore that you don’t use it. It is something that is personal to you and should be kept private. Be aware that anyone else looking at it can create boundaries, intruding upon the safety of your inner self. Therefore, to be in balance you must trust that anyone that does read it will respect your Journal and your Soul.

    A journal can be as simple as a ring binder or a pad of paper. If you wish you can decorate it, divide it into sections or make it elaborate and complicated. You can write or draw in it, paint or colour it. It’s important to ensure that all entries are dated and are kept in chronological order so that progress can be seen.

    As an example of journaling, I have included an entry from my personal journal for September 2012 three months before the Winter Solstice of 2012 (pg 106).

    14 September 2012

    I am being tested and given an opportunity to explore another avenue of learning, through the advent of a broken hip. I have had an operation to pin it and have been confined to bed rest today.

    The metaphysics of illness (pg 11) has been uppermost in my mind as I lie in the hospital bed. From the point of view of the dis-ease in life resulting in the dis-ease of the physical body I pondered on how this resulted in a broken hip.

    My question to myself is ‘who am I carrying on my hip?’ Of course! I am nursing my partner through kidney failure. This has resulted in a lack of energy and a lot of running around in order to care for him. There is also the inevitable worry and concern of the threat of the start of dialysis in our immediate future. This has meant keeping emotionally stable to help him to cope with all this. Alongside working from home and teaching at college too! I am willingly helping him, in order to make his life as easy and happy as possible and hold no resentment or anger. However symbolically my legs have been taken from under me and I see this as a warning from the Universe that I have to rest in order to conserve my energy for the future that is in front of us. Obviously now I am confined to bed I have no option!!

    I hope this gives some idea of the reasons for keeping a journal and the type of content that will help you to explore your feelings and thoughts every day as life ebbs and flows.

    BREATHING TECHNIQUES AND EXERCISES

    Throughout this book you will encounter techniques of connecting to nature and the natural forces and how to use them to enhance your lifestyle. Amongst these will be meditations and techniques for relaxing the body and calming the mind in order to connect with your own higher wisdom and spiritual self.

    For this reason, each meditation contained within this book starts with a method to relax the body and calm the mind. This is necessary because as we grow older, tensions, stress, bad posture, diet, illness and pain begin to hinder the process of breathing and, therefore, the body’s ability to relax.

    The process of breathing is governed by the autonomic nervous system. This means we do not have to think about it because we do it anyway! The fact that breathing is automatic to us means that we often fall into bad habits without noticing and this is more evident during times of stress, extreme pain and illness.

    Breathing correctly is an important component of natural health. The breath is a multi-layered, highly complex, yet a pure and simple process. It works on the mind, body and spirit and for this reason fills us with vitality.

    The ‘in-breath’ carries the life-force sometimes called ‘chi’ ‘prana’ or ‘energy’. Whatever word is used to describe it, it is full of life-giving oxygenated air. When the body is stressed, tense, angry or fearful the breath becomes short, fast and shallow. Shallow breathing does not allow the air to fully fill the lungs and therefore, restricts the movement of the diaphragm because there is a tendency for the air to stay in the upper respiratory tract.

    At these times our breathing becomes very shallow and, sometimes, in the extreme, turns to hyperventilation. In turn this increases the stress and tension in our body making our muscles tense and causing tiredness through lack of oxygen.

    You can check whether you are breathing correctly by carrying out this exercise.

    34213.png Straighten your spine and sit as upright as possible.

    34213.png Place one hand at the top of your sternum, (the flat bone that connects your ribs together in the middle of your upper chest)

    34213.png Place the other hand under your diaphragm which is just above the midriff.

    34213.png Breathe at your usual rate and do not change anything.

    34213.png Concentrate on your hands and determine which is moving the most. If it is the top hand, you are breathing too shallowly, and if it the bottom hand then your breath is correct.

    34213.png If its the top hand that’s moving, consciously take your breath into your midriff so that your lower hand is moving and the top hand is still. The shoulders should remain still when breathing appropriately.

    Short shallow breathing may just be temporary especially if you have been experiencing a moment of stress, or been exercising just before carrying out this exercise. However, it is easy for shallow breathing to
