It was the annual charity event that our protagonist, Nick, had been attending every year since he started his career. As a marketing executive for a small firm, he didn't really have to attend, but he always made an effort to be there nonetheless. The event was held at a swanky ballroom in the heart of the city and was attended by the city's elite - philanthropists, CEOs, and other high-ranking executives.

Nick was at the bar getting himself a drink when he noticed a man in a black tuxedo make his way towards him. He had long, curly hair and striking blue eyes that seemed to twinkle in the light. Before Nick knew it, the man was standing next to him, ordering a drink.
