About this ebook
In the rush of a full-time job and other daily tasks, learning about each other's thoughts is not easy.
There will come a time when one cannot ask one's mother any questions anymore. Then, it will be too late for answers.
Thus, at some point, Isis decided to be more open with her daughter than her parents had been with her.
Poems are very good for encoding messages. They not only communicate in words but also convey inimitable magic that often lies between the lines or in what is not said. Just like paintings, poems encourage the viewer to reflect and interpret, which can be very exciting.
ISIS
Isis grew up as the third child with loving parents who have been dedicated teachers. One could say that the love for prose and poetry runs in the family. Her father liked to memorize and recite poems, while her mother often thought up stories and used to read novels quite a lot. As soon as she could read, Isis had developed into a real bookworm. Since her love of poetry had rubbed off from her father, she wrote her first poem at the age of 8, which won a prize in the school competition. It was inspired by the wonderful painting "The Singing Boys" by Frans Hals. Just like her mother, Isis often made up stories as a child. Also, she loved to write long letters to her friends. Since graduating with a degree in industrial engineering in 1986, Isis has been working as an IT application support manager. It was not until the age of 53 that Isis continued writing poetry and prose, inspired by encounters with other poets. Isis is also the author of the books "Prism of Solitude", "Magie der Introversion" and the "Twin Flame Poetry" series.

Poetry for my beloved Daughter - ISIS
Introduction
My beloved Daughter,
just like my mother, you are the brightest light in my life, a torch and a beacon in the dark. Know that you have been loved by me long before you were conceived or born. Your name is short for Rosemary. And what a magnificent Rose you have become indeed!
Back then, when you still have been swinging gently in my womb, I used to stroke my belly gently, whispering and singing to you. Deep inside my heart, I just knew that you are a unique and beautiful being. Such special souls sometimes struggle through life, for they are different. Feeling awkward, they tend to keep to themselves and shy away from a world that has become cold and complicated. Sometimes, they question the whole meaning of earthly existence, which, in fact, is very wise. Unfortunately, the secrets of life are not easily revealed.
In order to grow, we humans must endure much loss and pain on our way to enlightenment. At times, we feel at a loss and play with the thought to simply give up the fight. So, let me thank you that you have not given up yet. I am so glad you are still aboard, although life is not easy for you in particular.
May these poems I wrote for and partly about you, help you in dark hours to come, when life seems unbearable. Be sure that I love you more than anyone else in the world and that I will never give up on you, no matter the difficulties or where my spirit might be.
Your loving Mother
Waiting for you
Nine long months
I’ve been waiting for you
To be born into my arms
Into my world and my heart
When you moved in my womb for
The very first time like a butterfly
I just knew how beautiful you are
How unique you always will be
And how precious to
