Love Speaks Volumes - J. Mel Brooks

    Morning

Day breaks with soft gray light

    Swirled with pink and blue

    Tears tumble from

    Weeping eyes

    Blurred with distant

    Visions of you

    Lonely is the hole left

In the hollow of the soul

    Time passes and patches

    Slow healing wounds

    Head bowed

    You walk in silence

    Karma

    This woman…

    This woman veiled

    In shadow

    Sits in my mind

    Like a thought

    Struggling

    To form.

    Her breasts full

    Her nipples

    Inviting me

    to suckle

    Her words plump

    And ripe

    Like the fruit of April

    In need and hunger

    I consume the fruit

    And wait for sunrise.

    Soft

    Oh sweet scent of ambrosia

    By name other than thine

    You still are you

    Your frangrance skirts

    The air

    Your beauty unfolds

    Around midnight dreams

In the soft glow of moon

    And dawn’s quiet light

    Gone

    Love’s/Sorrow dances

    A slow
