About this ebook

Bad Boys Love Rock

Lucas was the head of the most popular band in the country, maybe even the world. His bad boy image was sealed with all of his partying at every stop and heartbroken starlets around the globe. At the last stop of his tour, the venue manager won't stand for his shenanigans.

Taylor Steele didn't come by the nickname the Steele Maiden by accident.  She ran a tight ship and never got involved with any of the male celebrities that came her way. If Lucas tightened up his image, she might be willing to make an exception.

Will Lucas reign in his bad boy ways? Will Taylor trust a wild rockstar with her heart?  Find out in book four of Savina Joyce's Bad Boys Love series. Each book features a different couple and can be read as a standalone with a happily ever after ending.

    Lucas - Savina Joyce

    CHAPTER ONE

    LUCAS

The floor vibrated beneath his feet as the music pulsed. He could hear the murmur of the crowd from backstage. It was almost time for Lucas to make his entrance. He closed his eyes and let the music wash over him. He swayed to the music, letting it seep down into his spirit. This is when he felt most alive, just before he hit the stage. He heard his cue and sauntered onto the stage. As soon as he stepped into the spotlight, the crowd went crazy. Screams erupted from every corner of the stadium, jammed with people. He could hear the crowd's cheers over the music roaring from the speakers, electrifying the air.

Lucas turned his star power all the way up. He raised one arm in the air and the audience fell silent. The music started playing. He had their enraptured attention. When he started singing, the audience screamed along with every word. They knew every single song, down to the latest release. Lucas rode the high of the performance until the last note faded to silence and the stage went dark. He would never tire of hearing people scream his name. Racino was one of the hottest bands in the world, and Lucas planned to keep it that way. During every performance, he made love to the crowd with his music. When he left the stage, he was drenched in sweat.

Lucas loved touring. It was better than songwriting or recording. Touring and playing with these men was the best part of his life, long before they made it big. And he didn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. He might make a little more money if he took the solo route, but he would never enjoy the camaraderie like this again, and that was all that mattered.

But thanks to Mother Nature, the tour was in danger. Lucas had his entire tour planned out in advance by Racino’s tour manager. It was nice to have someone in charge of all that so the band could focus on the music. Then the hurricane hit the East Coast, damaging a lot of venues. After this week’s performance, he had over a month with no tour dates. He was hoping he could find something else to fill the gaps, but he wasn’t too confident. It was hard to find a venue on short notice, let alone a venue with stadium seating. Racino didn’t play small gigs anymore. Their audience and their fan base wouldn’t allow it. He hated breaking up the rhythm of the tour, but it didn’t look like they had much of a choice. Something would work out. It usually did.

Thoughts of the tour slipped from his mind as he came offstage and saw his bandmates trailing behind him, laughing and clapping each other on their backs. They huddled together and congratulated each other on a good show. Lucas hoped this dream would never end. He planned to be touring in his 70s. High-pitched squeals quickly interrupted the men. They turned around to find a horde of fan girls waiting for them.

What a perfect way to end the day. Alright men, it looks like we need to prepare ourselves for the oncoming storm, Lucas said with a grin.

You have to keep it short for me, James replied. The wife is waiting to go back to the hotel.

As the band played more shows and became more popular, their wives appeared one by one. Lucas was the only one left by the end. He tried to settle down once or twice. He dated a few supermodels, famous celebrities, and groupies. He always felt like something was missing in his relationships. There was a missing piece that he couldn’t quite find. Love wasn’t for everyone.

That’s where you guys have it wrong, Lucas replied. Who needs a wife when I’m married to the music?

    CHAPTER TWO

    TAYLOR

Taylor Steele made her way across the lobby to Gabriella’s office suite. She was so excited to be at the Regent’s Stadium and to be working with another woman of color. It was a big deal. She’d worked very hard to grow her career to the point where she was doing venue entertainment. Taylor wanted to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. Fortunately, Gabriella was more than happy to be her mentor and teach her the ropes.

Taylor had always wanted to work in entertainment. So far, she hadn’t had the opportunity to book bigger shows here because their market was fairly small. Massachusetts wasn’t too far away, but Taylor hated the commute. So when they opened the Region’s Stadium, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. She actually pitched the idea of a talent coordinator to Gabriella because her focus was on managing the team. During the down season, it was a perfect way to bring in additional revenue. They had gone to the same college, so that was a thing. They hadn’t been friends at the time, since Taylor was a year or so behind, but Taylor used that connection to get an informational interview. Once she presented this position to Gabriella, they became fast friends. Taylor was never been the type to wait around for a job posting. She created her own opportunities, just as she had here.

She wanted us to blow it out of the water. All she needed was a big name. She booked some smaller shows, but to really make the stadium an entertainment destination, she needed to bring in some international appeal.

She knocked on Gabriella’s open office door.

Girl, you don’t need to knock. If my door is open, you can come in whenever you want.

Well, I wasn’t sure if you were busy.

Gabriella laughed. Oh, I’m always busy. But I asked you to come here, so I’m definitely not too busy for you.
