About this ebook
Motherhood is a world wind of emotions and Alicia captures a small fraction of that time, following the birth of her second child, from 6 to 8 weeks postpartum. From flashbacks of first meeting her husband to the realities of pregnancy, Alicia takes you through the ups and downs of parenthood, pregnancy and postpartum, which often times is swept under the rug. A page turner that gives a glimpse into the mind of a mother as she rides the wave of all the feelings that come up when looking deeper into what it means to be a wife and parent to two children.

Preface
This book of poems came into being from a turbulent year in my life. While it’s voice is a short span of 2 weeks, the memories, knowledge, dreams and lived experiences came from the last 5 years. A mother’s postpartum journey is forgotten or overlooked and, in my previous experience, often lonely. I made the choice to write what I was feeling and what I was enduring this second postpartum period. While this doesn’t cover everything, I do hope this helps you find some peace in knowing you’re not alone
