About this ebook

This book is a portion of a life story. The objective is to prevent at least one woman from making the same mistakes. It is also to aid a woman in choosing wisely and improving her and her families' lives.

The illustration of how letting small thoughts enter into our minds can cultivate havoc and despair. It illuminates the truth that Satan traps us in a life we think is comfortable until we see the real truth. After we see the real truth, then we come to know divine peace and security in our lives.

How a woman can heal and live a better life, that is the true objective of this book.

To my friend Meredith who has always been strong in proclaiming the word of God to all she meets. I originally named the book NAWA (Not a Whore Anymore). My friend and publisher thought the title was too strong, but I thought a woman who needed it might pick it up if it had a strong shocking title. After the book was approved for publishing, I was talking to my friend Meredith. She told me that Jesus would never call me a whore. He never used strong words for sinners. He always used gentleness and love. I prayed and ponder this statement, and I knew in her heart her words were true. Jesus would rebuke sinners but always with a kind and gentle spirit. He would not call any woman that word, not even me.

So, the name was changed to Woman at the Well Reborn. This title will make no sense to someone who does not know the Bible, so I will paraphrase the story so you know where I am coming from in using this title.

The woman at the well is a story from the Bible (John 4:1–42). Jesus was traveling with His disciples. They went into the city to buy some food. Jesus was alone and walked up to a woman at the well and asked her for a drink of water. Two of the many oddities about this were as follows: (1) A man did not speak to a woman alone at this time, and (2) Jews did not speak to Samaritans. She questioned Him on why He would ask her for a drink. He proceeded to tell her that if she asked, he would give her living water and never thirst again, which means He could save her soul for all eternity. Their conversation continued, and he told her to go and get her husband. She answered she did not have a husband. Jesus answered her by telling her life story that she had married five husbands, and the man she was with now was not her husband. Then he told her that He was the Savior of the world. She went into the village and told other people. Many came to hear Jesus speak, and many believed in Him.

So as you can see from this story, Jesus revealed all of her secrets, but he did not condemn her but offered her eternal life.

Thank you, Meredith, for reminding me of Jesus's forgiveness and gentleness when forgiving and/or acknowledging my sins.

    Introduction

You are saying to yourself, Why should I read this book? It is not for me. Isn't it for you? Do you feel satisfied with who you have become, or deep in your soul do you feel alone, like something is missing, like life could be more fulfilling, and like you are worth loving? If the answer to any of these is yes, then this book is for you!

This book is for any woman who has given her love and/or body to a man before marriage. I know in my heart that God had me write this book for some woman who has felt as I did. It is for any woman who feels she is not worth loving and, due to this thought, gives herself to men to find love. It is for any woman who, after marriage, gives herself to a man other than her husband. There is life after sin, and there is love after healing from sin. It is for the teenager who has just lost her virginity to a boy who did not truly love her. It is for the woman who found herself in a web of drug and/or alcohol addiction and started selling herself for money. It is for the woman who was raped. It is for the woman who has given her body to several men over the years. It is for any woman who feels she is not worthy of a good man and his devoted love. It is for any woman who deep inside feels like a whore.

It is also for the woman who is advising or befriending a woman whose marriage is in trouble. Unless there is physical abuse going on in the relationship or signs of imminent danger, counsel that woman, pray for the woman, and help her to stay in the marriage and work through the problems. I wanted someone to give me advice. I went to my parents, but (1) my mother never gave us advice even when we asked for it, and (2) my father told me that it was something my husband and I would have to work out. He was right in that it had
