111 Spiritual Poems

About this ebook
This book is designed to bring families close together in their heart by writing heartfelt words in a poem fashion as a message in love. In this book, 111 Spiritual Poems, Vol No. 1, you will find poems about family, poems about church, poems uplifting, even poems about death. My favorite is "To My Family," to let us know they are still alive in heaven. There are also poems about some famous people in the Bible. I have even written poems about hell because, as a pastor, I want people to understand that going to hell is a real possibility and to keep our lives directed toward Jesus Christ, our savior. My hope is that all who reads this book will find something in it that will help them to be happy and, when they are depressed, to have a brighter and blessed day. Amen!

111 Spiritual Poems - James Nix
The Story Begins
It was the summer of 1995
When these poems came alive
It began to thunder
As I began to wonder
It was as if Jesus was talking to me
And I could clearly see
I began to write
As the words were in sight
It was a wonderful feeling
As the Lord kept revealing
I thought I must share
For I really do care
These are more than words
The like I have never heard
Angels Everywhere
Angels are truly everywhere,
You can just feel them in the air.
Angels are not just in heaven,
Just ask Peter and the eleven.
Angels will ride in your car,
And go with you very far,
Angels will encamp all around,
So listen and they’ll be found.
Angel appear like flesh and blood,
And your veins will run like a flood.
Angels don’t need a key,
They come easily to you and me.
Remember we are in the Lord’s care,
And his love he will share.
Angels are so very real,
And they have our savior’s seal.
When you feel something close by,
It could be an angel from on high.
An angel is a messenger of the Lord,
So, they may bring us a reward.
When you are awakened out of sleep,
And your heart starts to beat
Remember we belong to Jesus,
An angel has come to please us.
Just remember that this being,
Could be an angel you are seeing.
For angels are in the air,
And they might come if you care.
Just think the pleasure of knowing,
You could witness an angel showing.
That might not be the wind,
It could be an angel descend.
You could receive an angel’s touch,
Because Jesus loves you very much.
So, remember when you are all alone.
That noise could be an angel—
In your home!
Amen.
Presence of Angels
The wind can howl and blow,
For the angels have time to sow.
Angels are rarely seen,
And they will make your heart gleam.
Some have entertained angels unaware,
So you need to search and prepare.
What if you saw an angel today?
What would you have to say?
Be ready just at any time,
As your heart may begin to chime.
Just when you think you are all alone,
An angel could be in your home.
Angels have no need for a key,
They can be easy to see.
Angels are very real,
And they have our savior’s seal.
The Bible talks about Jacob’s ladder,
And how it made his heart clatter.
Angels appeared to Lot and his wife.
They tried to save his very life.
An angel cooked for Elijah the prophet,
To finish his journey, and not stop it.
An angel brought Peter out of jail.
He had the keys for his bail
Angels can camp all around you.
They are there to help us through.
So if you see a stranger,
It could be an angel to warn of danger.
You never know when you go to bed,
Of the visions that appear in your head.
For angels are everywhere,
They come to all who care.
Angels are sent here to help us,
They are messengers of Christ Jesus.
When our time here is gone,
An angel will take us to heaven—
Where we belong.
My Handsome Sweetheart
Oh my handsome sweetheart, none can compare,
To the wonderful glow in your moonlit hair.
The Lord has given you for a gift,
My heart pounds as it begins to shift
You are handsome in many ways,
And you are a bright spot in many days.
You have such a twinkle in your eye,
Such a lift from up on high.
I look at you as being strong,
And in your heart is where I belong.
Jesus has given us such a love,
It could only come from above.
I can’t wait for the day to end.
So our hearts will meet to mend.
I know a man wants to be tough,
Sweetheart, don’t worry about that stuff.
Your love struck me like a dart
With you, my day just seems to start.
We may not be perfect for all,
But we are to Jesus who will call.
With both of us working together,
Our life just seems to get better.
It’s hard to think of life without you,
So with Jesus we will stay true.
You are in my every thought
And know, my love can never be bought
For me, you don’t have anything to prove,
For my heart is all you need to move.
Let us get closer to Jesus our Lord,
So we can get our justly reward.
I want you always to be my man,
Now, and in that heavenly land.
This love will go way up on high,
And will certainly never die.
For this love didn’t come to just please us,
It came from heaven, our savior,
Christ Jesus.
My Beautiful Sweetheart
Oh my beautiful sweetheart none can compare,
To the wonderful glow in your moonlit hair.
The Lord has given you for a gift,
My heart pounds as it begins to shift
The Lord has made you so beautiful.
In my words I am so careful.
You have such a twinkle in your eye,
Such a lift from up on high.
To me you are the best part
And I have given you my heart
Jesus has given us such a love
It could only come from above.
I can’t wait for the day to end,
So our hearts will meet to mend
The Lord gave you a million-dollar smile,
And the wait for you is worth the while.
Your love struck me like a dart.
With you my day just seems to start.
We may not be perfect for all,
But we are to Jesus who will call.
With both of us working together,
Our life just seems to get better.
It’s hard to think of life without you,
So with Jesus we will stay true.
You are in my every thought,
And know my love cannot be brought!
Love is a very wonderful thing,
To share with another human being.
In my heart you get deeper.
It is getting more real and not cheaper.
Because Jesus has the very best,
And will stand the roughest test.
This love will go way up on high,
And will certainly never die.
For this love didn’t come to just please us,
It came from heaven, our savior,
Christ Jesus.
My Handsome Husband
You are so wonderful and so great,
And you help carry a lot of weight.
What makes our love so grand,
Is we are both in the Lord’s hand!
I put just one thing before you my sweet,
And that is Jesus who cannot be beat
With Jesus down in our heart,
That is what keeps us so we won’t part
You are my husband to whom I spend my life,
I am your true and only wife.
When you are gone for the day,
I pray that Jesus will lead your way.
You are my husband, lone and true,
And I will never depart from you.
Jesus has given us this wonderful love.
That is why we will live far above.
Even though our life is great and full,
We still have to work together and pull,
As we grow in the Lord and get strong,
It’s you and the Lord to whom I belong.
Sometimes when we don’t see eye to eye or agree,
With Jesus in our hearts, we can still see.
You are in my heart and in my mind,
And you are very thoughtful and kind.
In our life we have to back each other up,
And then let Jesus in our heart to sup.
You are my husband, and I love you so much,
Of the things on earth you are the best of such!
Our life together has just began,
Jesus is my Lord and you are my man.
When we get to heaven we will live with Jesus,
For in heaven he will never leave us.
If we stay with Jesus and never be bent,
And get the lost saved to whom we are sent,
Then in heaven our family will forever be,
And then we will live throughout all eternity.
With love, your wife.
My Lovely Wife
You have given me such a wonderful life,
Jesus gave you to me for my wife.
You have always been there for me,
When I get home it’s you I want to see.
We have together a wonderful love,
It came from Jesus our Father above.
With Jesus in our heart it’s easy to share,
For each other we really do care!
In the past, we have been in a fuss,
But it can be overcome with Jesus.
We have family and our kids are known,
But at night it is just you and I alone.
We back each other up at all times,
It does not matter whether we have any dimes.
Jesus gives us this wonderful togetherness,
You are my woman for thankfulness!
The Lord has given us this wonderful light,
So let’s keep it shining ever so bright
True love is full of the Holy Ghost,
I love you, Wife, to the uttermost
What a wonderful wife you have been,
I want us both to go to heaven in the end.
Sometimes I call you the boss!
Without you and Jesus I would be lost.
Jesus has given us miracles of life,
One of the best is you, my love and wife.
If we can show what marriage is all about,
The
