    A Christmas Story

Let me tell you a great story

Of a Man who came from glory!

Two thousand years ago in time,

A Savior came who now is mine!

Blessed of God, He was given to Mary.

A Messiah she was now to carry!

And Joseph, just a simple man,

Was whom God chose for His plan.

In Bethlehem there was no room

For Jesus, who was coming soon!

His birth, you see, would only be

One part of this great story!

For in His life, through toil and strife,

    He remained within God’s glory.

    Never once did Jesus err;

The love of God was always there.

He taught disciples of His plan

To bring salvation down to man.

A simple plan it seemed to be:

Live for God and you’ll be free!

But the clouded judgment of prideful men

Cried out for a sentence of death for Him!

But Jesus already knew this would be done,

So the Holy Spirit then could come

To live and love in all people’s hearts,

To give our lives a brand-new start!

We have Jesus walking by our side,

And the Holy Spirit is our guide.

Each passing year, we just can’t wait

    For Jesus’s birthday to celebrate!

    Master, Savior, Messiah, King,

    Eternal life is Your offering!

How I embrace my life with You.

Won’t you, please accept Him too?

    A Gift

    My life has many facets,

    Though I have mastered none.

    Now, since my salvation,

    My Master is only one!

    Although I’ve no real talent,

I do have gifts to share.

And when you’ve met the Master,

You receive His gift of loving care!

    His gift is so abundant,

    It cannot be contained.

The more of it you give,

    The more of it remains!

    His love for us is a mystery;

    He gives the very best.

Just open up your heart to Him,

And He will do the rest.

You can spend your whole life talking,

And your words will have no meaning.

But when you walk the talk of God,

    Life-giving words come streaming!

    Am I now perfected?

    No, but I can say
