It has been a few years

Since you were called home.

As the tears have come and gone,

The heartbreak

Comes along with

Missing that smile

As I walk into the room.

The hugs we had

You told me

Felt so good.

Now I need to let you go.

The heartbreak

I cannot take anymore.

The memories

I will always have of you,

How you raised me,

Taught me about the bad things

I should not do.

You taught me right from wrong,

To always stand strong.

Goodbye, Mom.

I cannot grieve no more.

The memories

I will keep stored.

When I can bring up the memories with a smile—
