About this ebook

On December 16, 2014, God’s first book of poems was published. Being blessed with so many poems, I felt inspired to publish a second book. If you ever feel you need to hear God speak to you in poetic form, the first book, From God’s Heart, to Mine, to Yours, and this book, I believe, will touch your heart and bring you to a closer relationship with Him. See the poem titled “Poetry” on page 46 that I believe describes it so well.

Feel his personal message to each of us. Let Him renew the hope in us with his love. We are not alone. We are not unloved. We may feel lost, but He is there to find us. Let us find the answers together in God’s inspired words of love and encouragement to us.

Author

E. P. Shagott

ED SHAGOTT, with the Lord’s direction, is the creator of the God’s Love Outreach Western New York that began touching hearts for Christ in January 2004. God started touching Ed’s life with poetry in the early 1990’s. In a span of 20 plus years He has inspired Ed with over 700 poems to touch those who needed to hear God speaking directly to them in poetic form. In March of 1997, Ed surrendered his life to Jesus. Since January 2004 Ed has presented God’s Love programs to over 70 nursing and assisted living residences. Many of the poems from this book have been shared, combined with music and inspirational stories to let all know that God loves them and has not forgotten any of them.

    What Is Love

    Salvation

The title of this poem is salvation,

a word that says it all.

For within it’s nine letters you will find

    life’s answers since the fall.

    Love, hope, praise, and honor

    contentment, peace is there.

These are also some of the words

that we seek when asking in prayer.

Each one of us must seek salvation out,

for surely sin is not the way.

And through Jesus Christ, the Son

our God cares for us today.

Humiliated, despised and riddled with shame,

yes, these words are in there too.

His Son was nailed to the cross

so salvation could be there, for me and you.

So please, don’t take this word lightly

and pray that all might find,

that because of the price He paid for us,

not one has to stay behind.

    It’s Time To Come Home

How do I call an end

to a love that’s embedded in my heart?

    How do I say good-bye

to someone who’s been there from the start?

How do I stop this pain

that never seems to go away?

Can someone tell me what to do

    to make life easier today?

What is left to hold on to?

What direction is there for me to go?

My life was built around you,

    because I loved you so.

I know if things were different

and I was the first to leave

    I
