From God's Heart, to Mine, to Yours: Trilogy

After almost thirty years, it seems that the poetry part of God’s journey for me might be coming to a close. This will be the third and final book of His published poems. I do realize that I am just the loyal and loving servant that He chose to be one of His penman’s. The previous other two books, “From God’s Heart, to Mine, to Yours” and “More, From God’s Heart, to Mine, to Yours” have been well received and I have heard nothing but good and blessed comments about them, as I am sure with this one I will also.

Besides being blessed to publish God’s poems, I am also blessed to present musical PowerPoint presentations to shut-ins. How awesome it is to be able to reach out with God’s Love and touch another soul in need. This part of the His journey for me will continue until He says, “Rest”. ED SHAGOTT, with the Lord’s direction, is the creator of the God’s Love Outreach Western New York that began touching hearts for Christ in January 2004. God started touching Ed’s life with poetry in the early 1990’s. In a span of 20 plus years He has inspired Ed with over 700 poems to touch those who needed to hear God speaking directly to them in poetic form. In March of 1997, Ed surrendered his life to Jesus. Since January 2004 Ed has presented God’s Love programs to over 70 nursing and assisted living residences. Many of the poems from this book have been shared, combined with music and inspirational stories to let all know that God loves them and has not forgotten any of them.

by what we say or do?

Does He really know

the beginning and end for me and you?

Does He sit on His throne

and wonder, What do I do now?

Is God surprised

in all His children somehow?

Well, I believe He is not

and He knows already what we do.

See, His ways are not our ways

and that is so very true.

When God created Adam

and in the Garden of Eden, He put him in.

I believe God already knew

Adam was going to sin.

My friends, we serve an awesome God,

who created Heaven and earth.

Remember light became

at the sound of His words.

Is God surprised?

Not my God and this is true.

What He wants is love

from me and you.

So in this life don’t worry,

read His Word and follow through.

You will then understand

God is not surprised in what we do!

How Deep Is His Love

How deep is Christ’s love you might ask,

how could we judge it if we could?

Of course we could go back over 2000 years

where before the Cross Jesus stood.

See the worse was going to happen

even though He was already beaten.

No it wasn’t the shame He endured

or to Cross He was nailed and His body weakened.

To feel the depth of Jesus love

we must understand what He didn’t want to lose.

See, He was willing to give all He had

so all we had to do was choose.

My Father, why have You forsaken Me?,

is the true depth of His love.

See, Jesus took His Father’s wrath for us,

so together we can all be above.

Not The Here But The After

We get so caught up in this day

that we miss what lies ahead.
