Mornings with Jesus

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1

I TOOK A DEEP BREATH as I walked up to the podium. I was speaking to a group of alumni at the children’s home where I grew. As I looked at the audience, my mind went totally blank. But despite my fear, Jesus gave me the words to speak: “I never thought I would be standing here speaking. Many of us have different memories of growing up here. Our relationship with Jesus affected who we’ve become. Some of us are survivors, others are victims.”
