About this ebook

Have you ever been fearful? Do you worry excessively? Have you ever been angry or unwilling to forgive? Have you ever lost a loved one or been in a serious medical situation? Have you ever wondered if God was there or understood what you were going through? I know I have. I think if we're honest, all of us have experienced one or more of these circumstances at some time in our lives.

Are you in need of encouragement or love? Have you ever needed that special card or verse for a wedding or baby shower? Do you ever just want to say thank you and offer praises to the Lord? Do you need a card for Christmas or Easter? These writings cover a whole range of subjects. They address all these questions plus a lot more.

They have been taken from my own life experiences and have been helpful and encouraging to many. These messages have touched many people with just what they needed to hear at a time when they needed it the most.

My prayer is these words will meet you where you are and encourage and inspire you to persevere through all the challenges that life throws at you. I pray that through everything you experience, these words will lift you up and give you hope. Above all my hope is that these words will lead you to the God that I love and serve and that you'll know you are never alone and that you are forever loved.

Words of Inspiration - Carol Winch

    A Consistent Life

    Most of your life’s story

has been lived to give God glory.

You’ve held on to God through all life’s pain

and taught us to worship instead of complain.

You’ve been put through many trials.

God has brought you through the raging fires.

When you live through times of uncertainty and fear

you gain more strength when you know He is near.

As you age, your physical abilities begin to decline

but it’s still His will you have on your mind.

Your life has shown what a Christian life should be.

Jesus has said, When people look at you, they should see me.

You have consistently tried to do what is right.

You’ve led many souls to His glorious light.

    Your reward awaits above

when He will display to you His eternal love.

    Along for the Ride

Sometimes I’m just along for the ride.

Jesus is my companion. He comes alongside.

    The ride can get bumpy along the way;

but Jesus my Lord is here to stay.

We continuously go around on the same old track.

It’s common sense that we lack.

Trying to ride alone really takes its toll.

The ride goes so fast it’s out of control.

We are on a scary, downhill slide.

We want to find a place in which to hide.

We go so fast our heads start to spin.

This is how we feel when we indulge in sin.

    The speed of the ride gives me a thrill;

as it goes faster and faster down the hill.

The ride has twists and turns that throw me around.

It’s so rough it makes my head pound.

    As the ride makes one last drop;

it finally comes to a complete stop.

Jesus rode with me around the final bend.

I was glad when the ride came to an end.

I’m glad I’ll never have to ride alone.

He’ll be with me until I fly away home.

    Anger

    Anger is a raging fire.

It fuels our wicked passion and desire.

    It consumes our mind.

It’s a distraction of the very worst kind.

It shows our need to be in control.

These angry thoughts will take its toll.

    It causes turmoil and unrest.

All it does is cause more distress.

When anger is raging, Satan has his way.

Loss of peace is the price we pay.

Anger puts our hearts in great upheaval.

This just provokes more hatred and evil.

Anger will rent space in our heads,

unless we go to the Lord instead.

Anger goes against God’s redemption plan.

    It stops
