PREFACE

My prayer and desire for Destiny Embrace Me: Lord, Let Future Uphold Me is that this book refreshes and inspires the inner delicate side of you. I pray the greater one that lives in you rises up and declares victory in any circumstance you are presented with or headed toward. For we all are on a journey called life that is full of twisters, earthquakes, rumbles, and discord. We win in the end. God has equipped us with his sustaining power called love. We are more than a conqueror through our lord and savior Jesus Christ. As women, we all have a common denominator, whether we have experience natural childbirth or not. We have all experienced paths that travel through the vascular system every now and again called pain, heartache, and disappointment that cause our heart to palpitate. All paths have an ending. No storm can last forever. At the end, there is a beautiful rainbow of grace, mercy, and wisdom awaiting to be shared.

God’s grace and mercy is able to give us a new life. Sometimes the paths of life are so devastating that it can occlude the blood supply to our heart and brew bitterness, hatred, strife that ultimately lead to need for resuscitation. CPR—cardiopulmonary resuscitation—because all these things cause our hearts to become hardened and die off from effects of life! The heart is an organ that can hide many emotions, insecurities, jealousy, lust, pain, depression, guilt, craftiness, and evil. Thank God for his son, Jesus. God’s grace and mercy is everlasting and resuscitates life to our system daily. We can maintain a sense of fearlessness, peace, and love through this journey called life. All of the mind-boggling life experiences continue to either help us depend on God, face the breaking edge of a nervous breakdown, or nearly sinking of guilt and shame and depression. The Holy Spirit and the hand of God are the only ones can resuscitate life in our spirit, mind, and body. God is the only one that can touch the heart of mankind and its existence.

I thank God for the blood Jesus that dialyzes my system daily. The blood of Jesus detoxes me, removes the impurities, cleansing me of all things that are not right, and renews the right spirit in me daily.

One thing God has spoken to me is people need people. One word from the heart, one gesture, one act of kindness, one smile or touch can alter the course of life. One person can help resuscitate that which has been lost or broken. Yes, you made it through that, and you will make it through this too. Trouble doesn’t last always, and trials have an expiration date. Bearing and birthing the seed of compassion, empathy, and sympathy is just a powerful God kind of a thing. How can such a divine experience happen over a course of time, through pain and struggle, unless God’s hand predestines victory?

That is the kind of God that I serve. Powerful words with human acts of kindness, qualities, and characteristics can bring divine connection to the heart and soul of mankind and its mere existence. What life is and what life will be is held in the potter’s hand. He sculpts us as clay, turning bricks into beautiful stories of diamonds, rubies, and a finale of crystals and pearls. How does he do this when all women are rubies? This journey called life awaits the heat and flame, turning our ashes into beauty and our pain into passion. Queens, straighten your crown daily, polish it, keep it high on mantles, and adorn it with glitter of a smile. You are crystals and pearls!

What is life if we don’t have the compassion to keep ours and sisters’ well-being? Are we not our sisters’ keeper? I present my body, heart, mind, and hands as a ready writer and vulnerable tool for self-disclosure and self-denial. Through this process and selfless acts of bearing the cross for my sister in Christ, this book was birthed.

God has to get the glory so that the next person that stands in line to be quenched from fiery trials of life can stand strong.
