About this ebook
A Young World Drawn to the Gun is about America’s youngest problem: young people engaging in gun violence. America is losing its future as our children are losing their lives on the streets, in our homes, and in schools across America. America has an obligation to protect the lives of all its citizens, including our children, teens, and young adults.
Young America is vastly becoming the perpetrators, the victims, and the suspects in gun-violence cases and are in a sense killing one another over issues that could easily be resolved without the use of a gun. There are certain trigger mechanisms that can spark gun violence, and unfortunately, young America finds itself trying to solve its issues and perceived problems with the use of guns. Guns don’t solve problems; they only make the problems worse.
A Young World Drawn to the Gun gives an in-depth look at how and why young people are being drawn to guns and how and why gun violence is progressing in this country. This book also gives direct insight as to the consequences of committing gun violence and offers resolutions to help keep our young people from continuing to become the victims and/or suspects of gun violence.
This book can be used to teach and educate our children in our homes, in our schools, and even in juvenile detention centers and jails all across America. America may not be able to totally eliminate gun violence, but as a nation working together, we can help to drastically reduce it. Together we can help save the lives and futures of our children, and this book can help us to do just that.

Introduction
As a longtime community-outreach activist in the city of Cincinnati, I have been to a lot of crime scenes involving homicides and have seen a lot of young people who have lost their lives to gun violence. It’s usually over situations that could have easily been resolved without the use of a gun. It seems like life has no value to those who would take the life of someone over the smallest things. I’ve also seen that a lot of young people have been arrested and charged with such violent crimes as murder in the first degree. Gun violence does not only affect the victims, the suspects, and their families, but it also affects the whole community and makes any city that has a high number of homicides look bad.
Gun violence has long affected the lives of many people and now is drastically affecting the lives of our young people. Gun violence is affecting the lives of the young to the extent that many young people, including children, have become victims or suspects of gun violence and even fatalities. This book will show how the fascination for guns comes about. It will look at why there are so many guns on the streets and why they are accessible to kids and young people. It will further look at why so many people are drawn to guns and why acts of gun violence are committed especially among young people.
There are certain things that can become trigger mechanisms for gun violence that can ultimately cause young people to engage in acts of gun violence and even commit homicides. And finally, it will discuss life after committing gun violence and the consequences thereof and will offer some resolutions to help keep our children safe. This book is a tool that will help to keep young people from continuing to become suspects of gun violence or the victims of gun violence. Young people are the future, so we have an obligation to protect them from being killed by these senseless acts of gun violence.
Chapter 1
The Development of the Fascination for Guns
In this day and time, many young people, for some reason or another, are being drawn to guns and to gun violence and are committing very violent crimes. And because we live in a violent world, many young people have lost their lives and continue to lose their lives because of senseless gun violence. It seems that as time goes on, the violence is ever-increasing at an alarming rate and gun violence is destroying the lives of people all over the world. Because the violence in this world is so encompassing, young people cannot hide from its influence and its devastation and are not exempt or immune from it.
It’s hard to believe that young people are engaging in dangerous criminal activities and are becoming the aggressors, perpetrators, and even the victims of violent crimes. Why are so many young people involving themselves in violent criminal activities? Why are so many young people being drawn to violence? Why are so many young people being drawn to guns? And why are so many young people losing their lives? There are many factors and answers to these questions, many of which we will cover in this book.
Parents are not rearing and raising their children to be violent, to engage in violence, or to die because of the violence surrounding them. Many parents are striving to keep their kids away
