How did you get into game shooting and why do you shoot?

Will Ackroyd (WA): I got into shooting through beating on my father’s farm shoot. I enjoyed it and did so for a season. The next season I learnt to shoot with a .410. Since then my passion has grown and I enjoy any type of shooting I can get involved in. I shoot because it is a great sport and standing out in the countryside with a gun is unbeatable. You gain a further understanding of the wildlife and it gives me a great sense of pride to shoot game then take it home and turn it into a meal.

Louis Sykes (LS): I am the third generation of Shots in my family. I learnt from my father and late grandfather how to shoot as well as the importance of shooting to the countryside. I now shoot at my university clay club and I find it’s a great way to meet and socialise with people from around the world.
