About this ebook

2

This book is intended to deepen the reader's connection with the Lord. It reflects on the importance of our dreams and talks about how various biblical persons were given godly insights through their dreams.

The first half of the book tells the story of a dream--a violent dream that involved witnessing a senseless murder as well as a futile chase to escape a dark fate, followed by a joyful celebration of God's amazing goodness! The book then breaks down the dream with the help and discernment of a biblical mentor as well as the use of scripture from God's Holy Word, thereby providing a godly analysis.

The second half of the book is a thirty-day dream journal intended for the use of the reader. It provides space for the reader's dreams, interpretations, and insights from others.

    Once Upon a Dream

    Chapter 1

    Introduction

Have you ever had a dream that you felt was a lesson from God?

I remember when I was in high school, I was struggling with what I wanted to do after graduation, and I toyed with the idea of analyzing dreams. I, therefore, started reading about dream analysis, and you know what my young teenage brain discovered? Dream analysis is boring!

It was not the exciting thing that I had imagined. So I quickly dropped that idea and moved on. I also had always been fascinated by religion and felt a calling to devote my life for His service, but I did not grow up in a religious home, and I did not grow up going to church.

I neither knew God nor knew what this calling should look like. So again, I dropped the idea and moved on. I hadn't given dream analysis another thought in the last thirty-five years. However, I am happy to say that at the age of forty-five, I finally found Jesus.

Jesus transformed my life! He removed my endless searching and expelled the darkness! In the last four years since I came to know Him, He has given me the love I'd always dreamed of, as well as a sense of talent and purpose to serve Him and my fellow believers in Christ. It has been a total transformation for me!

I went from thinking about suicide every day to devoting my life for the spreading of the Good News! Since then, I have started writing Christian books and sharing my testimony with every person willing to listen. These are not innate talents that I was born with, for I am naturally very shy and I lack confidence in my abilities. However, as I have been told several times and repeatedly told myself, God does not call the equipped. He equips the called.

Moses was not a confident speaker. The disciples were not well-to-do.

And yet God said, Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say (Exod. 4:11–2 NIV).

The Bible tells us that God can use anyone to accomplish His purposes.

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human
