About this ebook
Krystal Key is a superhero who shows up on the scenes of bullying. Her smart watch alerts her when someone is being bullied. Wherever her boots of peace take her, she helps bully victims realize they have the crystal key to seek help (even when they feel helpless and that there is no hope). She sends every bully to the crystal bubble shield to have the crystal key of knowledge unleashed to them. In every situation, bullying is eliminated. The evidence that Krystal Key was on the scene is her signature crystal key souvenir for all.
Krystal key has the victims face off with their bullies (after the bullies learn the lessons of empathy—how to treat others like they want to be treated). The victims get to serve their bullies notice that they, the bullies, will not, cannot, and shall not win. The victims walk away with the message to themselves: “You win.”

You have the key to win.
Introduction
I have been a guidance counselor for over twenty-two years. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing students. The large majority of them were great students and outstanding individuals. Many of them had to endure difficult situations either at home, in their community, or right there in our elementary school. Over the years, I witnessed students having to come to school to face a bully time and time again. No matter how much they sought help and support, they did not receive any. Some adults brushed it off, saying, They are just being kids.
A statement in which I totally disagree. It is not normal behavior for a kid to walk around so angry, disrespectful, and destructive. When not addressed and redirected, the same individuals grow up and become angry, disrespectful, and destructive adults.
I have also experienced bullying as an adult in the workplace. I have found it to be very disheartening that there are those that have no regard for other’s feelings. We can all say we know someone that has been a bully or heard of someone being bullied. Some bullying incidents have resulted tragically. These victims have been sadly silenced. There are too many that seem to be standing in a pit, yelling out for help, only for no one to hear or see them. No one is feeling their pain and struggle.
Krystal Key is a character created to show up to the scene of bullying and address the situation; turning up the volume of the victims’ voices. The victim has the opportunity to tell the bully what they feel, and the bully cannot respond. Then, the victim is permitted to give their bully a consequence. In all situations, the victim has mercy on the bully, showing that they will not stoop to the bully’s level of being mean and evil because that would make them the same in bad behavior. In every situation, the bully has to go into the crystal bubble shield where they receive the keys to knowledge that stops or eliminates bullying. The crystal bubble shield assists in instilling empathy in the bully, which teaches on treating people like they would want to be treated. Krystal Key carries a crystal key that points the bullies in the direction of the crystal bubble shield to receive these valuable, life-changing lessons.
If only there was a real crystal bubble shield, the world would learn to treat one another with empathy. The world would treat others with love, respect, and dignity. The world would be a place where everyone could and would thrive, and peace could prevail.
It is my desire for Krystal Key to have the opportunity to teach many that they do not have the right to hurt and bully anyone, no matter the differences they may have. Hopefully, the realization of what goes around comes around will change negative hearts and actions to more positive and peaceful behaviors.
Chapter 6 has the Dixon model—a tool that everyone can put in place to change negative events in their lives. It cannot change the event in and of itself, but it can assist you in developing a plan to put in place to start making changes. Learn to exchange the negative for positive in order to bring about more desirable outcomes. Outcomes are important to victims’ survival and knowing that what a bully does or says about them is not who they are or the sum of their lives.
Victims of any bullying will recognize that they are valuable and have a purpose. Their life is worth living, and their voices are worth hearing. They have the key to win. Never give up on yourself. Take your life’s crystal key and serve your bullies notice that they cannot, will not, and shall not win.
