Most kids want to be all sorts when they grow up.
As a child, a ballet dancer, doctor, fireman and even an astronaut were on my long list of career aspirations.
Becoming a police officer had never really crossed my mind.
But finishing college, finding myself with no real direction, a friend suggested joining the police force.
The idea of being able to help people in need appealed to me, and once I’d enrolled, I knew I’d made the right choice.
