Paradise for Men - J. George
Cost of Living and Retirement in Your Home Country
Every time I talk with a man approaching retirement age, it strikes me that this isn’t something anyone looks forward to anymore. It’s normally approached with a sense of worry and dread.
Some men have maintained success over the years and managed to put away a good retirement income. Unfortunately, too many realize that retirement will be a time of financial pressure, and it quickly becomes obvious that it isn’t going to be the fun in the sun and weeks full of golf we always dreamed about. Not at all.
Are you feeling the financial pinch and have to continue work past sixty-five, or already retired and need a job?
Are you trying to start a home business or looking for a part-time job to just get by?
Or worse…have you lost your job with no employment opportunities in sight?
Vacations and days of golf, travel, working at your hobby—is that still a part of your reality?
You may be one of many who have lost their savings in the economic downturn or just didn’t have the option to put enough away.
Pensions aren’t what they used to be, and with the economy coming down on us, there seems to be little security in today’s world.
And the costs continue to go up… and up…and up…and up!
Live Out Your Dreams
Is that what you had in mind all those years you slaved away? Living out your later years—a solid chunk of time for many of us—in a standard of living lower than when we were working?
And for the man living alone, it gets pretty boring—pretty lonely—after such a productive life. That’s no way to live.
Oh! To get back to the days when we were young!
It’s just not enough money to live a comfortable life. Not in most Western countries anyway. We worked all our lives for our retirement days—no man wants to spend the winter of his life watching time pass by.
What is the obvious answer?
Get out of your comfort zone!
Create a new and exciting comfort zone at prices you can easily afford.
Travel! Change your living experience! Change your lifestyle! Start a new social life!
And enjoy the happiness and excitement of a new love life!
Think it’s impossible? It’s not. Thousands of men are doing it right now.
It’s an adventure that’s easier and a lot less costly than you think.
Because of currency differences, you can take a small pension, social security checks, or a modest monthly income, and live out a fantastic existence in some of the most beautiful places on earth. And this is what we dreamed of when we were thinking about retirement all those years. There’s no reason to stay at home and worry about finances all the time while waiting out those cold, rainy days.
The international lifestyle is not just the territory of the rich, and in fact, I would propose that the rich may have had it wrong when they decided that they had to get rich before they could enjoy life to the fullest.
Living in Thailand—the Land of Smiles—is an experience you should not miss and can easily afford.
Add it all up and the sum is all too clear…
What Are You Doing with the Winter of Your Life?
Have you bought into the idea that once you hit your retirement age, for the most part, your life is over?
You have to be the old Grandpa or the good old uncle
?
Once you get to be a certain age, you may think you don’t have a lot more to look forward to. This lie we’ve sold ourselves perpetuates a depressing state of life.
Our society has become so paranoid about growing old that many act like it is a disease. Our highly focused media pushes for youth to be the ultimate ideal of beauty and bliss. We do everything we can to fight the advance of time—a natural process—and everywhere you turn someone is pushing a miracle product to cure
the curse
of age.
I’m convinced the majority of Americans think life ends after fifty—so what does it mean for those of us who left fifty behind long ago? For those of us who think fifty-year-olds are the young bucks?
As the saying goes, today is the first day of the rest of your life. Your glass is half-full, not half-empty. The thing is that all of those clichés are true.
Are we here only to serve as a reminder to the youngsters of the fate that awaits them? The truth is the last years of your life are still part of your life—and if you make the right moves can be the best part!
Consider This…
The life expectancy for the average American male is now late seventies, and so many live into their eighties, nineties…
And with medical advances being the way they are many live to be over a hundred!
So what does that mean for this idea that after fifty, it’s over?
Think about it—do some math! If you live over seventy-five years, then at fifty, you’ve still got a third of your life to live! Many people believe life doesn’t even start until you’re forty—and some say the real fun starts at fifty!
In every novel or great movie, the climax comes at the end. Two-thirds of the way through is when things just start getting interesting.
Attitude about aging is destroying our quality of life. By perpetuating this ugly idea of life over the hill,
our society is robbing you of what could be your greatest years. And even if you don’t totally buy into the idea that it is potentially the greatest era of your life, you have to admit that pushing ideas that leave any man or woman over fifty feeling alienated, bored, and depressed is nothing short of a tragedy.
Pre-occupation with age is a very damaging facet of our culture.
Refuse to buy into this idea! Refuse to allow the conclusion
of your life to dwindle down into nothing. Go out with style. One last hurrah. Your final days should reflect all the effort and living you put into this world for yourself and others.
Don’t end up a shadow or a shell of a man—the result that this negative idea of age produces. In the end, shine as a man who has lived life well, with the glory of it all over your face.
What Are You Doing with the Winter of Your Life?
Are you sitting around the house bored all day? Is your only adventure trying to figure out what your schedule of medication is for today because you’ve been brainwashed to think the answers to your problems—whether physical or psychological—lie in the meds?
Seriously, take a look at your life right now—and I’m not talking about looking backward. Take a look at where your life is right now. What are you doing with it today? Where are you going with it tomorrow? Or have you just decided to give into society’s attitude that tomorrow is just no longer worth anything for gray-haired citizens?
What I’m calling you to do is to get back on your feet and grab a hold of life once again (especially if you have already let go of it at this point). And the perfect way of doing that is going to the amazing country of Thailand. The atmosphere and people and lifestyle will absolutely put a fresh breath in your aging body—just ask anybody who has already made the move.
It doesn’t have to be a permanent move. Do it for a very long vacation. Organize your life so you live there part-time; maybe six months on, six months off.
Think you can’t afford it? You might be very surprised.
And even if it tugs at the purse strings some, believe me, it’s worth it!
If you’re fifty or older, it’s time to start living the best part of your life in the best way possible. If you’re older, that is all the more reason to get on to living.
And that means in your sixties, seventies, and beyond. Hell, at any age in my opinion. Why would you want to live out your entire life in your home country when Thailand has so much to offer a man concerning women and lifestyle?
And at such an insanely low cost of living!
As you are going to see, it is insane to ignore how good your life could be in this beautiful country.
This is the good life, and it’s available at a deep discount!
It’s already well-known that during our winters, the sun is shining in
