JUST GETTING STARTED

Winning letter

We may be older but we’re not past our prime. Opening my last week, I just had to smile at the picture of the four Oscar winners holding their awards: two men in their 50s and two women in their 60s receiving their first-ever Oscar after years in the movie industry. What a great night it must have been for them. We can’t all receive major accolades or high honours, but what we can all do is work hard at has so many stories of older women living their best lives in later decades and I hope these stories continue to inspire us to be open to the amazing possibilities in the years still ahead of us, no matter our age.
