Mind Your Thoughts, Activate Your Healing: How the Mind Body Connection Causes Sickness, Healing and Aging
()
About this ebook
Why is it that in today's society, with all the modern advancements in medicine, we as a species seem to be getting sicker and sicker? Diseases such as cancer are more prevalent today than they were in 1950. Is it because our medical science is somehow failing us? Is it that today's doctors treat symptoms rather than finding the root of the problem that caused the illness in the first place? Our minds work according to the law of belief, which states, "Whatever you believe and feel to be true long enough will become your reality. It means that whatever you subconsciously feel to be true in your inner world (thoughts) long enough, will always show up in your outer world (experience)." The Mind Can Heal and the Mind Can Age explores the premise that our minds are the true culprit. Areas to be explored: - How you create your own reality and healing with your thoughts, words, and actions. - How the mind and the mental state a person is in dictates the state of the physical body. - How attitude and self-talk play a huge role in the aging process. - How "The Law of Attraction" effects your health both negatively and positively. - How stress affects your health as well as the process. "If anyone say's to this mountain, 'Be lifted from your place and hurled into the sea,' and has no inward doubts, but believes that what he says is happening, it will be done for him. I tell you then, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours" (Mark 11:23-24).

About the Author
Acknowledgments
I acknowledge and thank Mother/Father God for using me as a minister and healing vessel in service of all humanity. I thank my guides and teachers in spirit and the archangels, whose wisdom and guidance I called upon on a daily basis, which helped me to overcome all obstacles that came up during the writing of this book.
Special thanks and love to my beautiful wife, Rev. Dr. Wanda Leigh Holmes, who has been my rock and who has inspired me to reach levels within myself that I didn’t realize I could possible reach.
I want to acknowledge my parents, Winston and Pansy Greene, for always setting a wonderful and positive example of love and service toward others, which was passed on, not only to me and my sisters Delana Booth and Antoinette Ferris, but to our entire family as well as friends.
I give my appreciation to my daughter, De’Adra Doctor, whose love is unconditional. She has always been my biggest cheerleader and supporter in whatever I do.
Appreciation, love, and light is also given to the teacher who inspired me with a love of writing. Sister Catherine Marie from St. Michael’s High School in Los Angeles, California, I thank you for helping to bring out that writer who has lived inside of me dormant for too long.
To these and so many other friends and family, and to my church family, The United Metaphysical Churches, Seminary and the Arlington (Virginia)Metaphysical Chapel, my Franconia VA Department of Motor Vehicle family and Yulonda Kelley-Porter who has been one of my biggest supporters over the years, I would like to convey my true heartfelt love and gratitude.
Introduction
I grew up a product of the sixties to very loving and nurturing parents who may not have always understood all my quirky ways, but always tried to encourage me nonetheless. When I was in my pre-teens, I would get very sick with painful stomach cramps and nausea each month. Needless to say, I used to dread that time of the month resulting in negative, fearful thoughts and constant worry that would consume me.
As time passed, things progressively got worse, and I started experiencing a loss of consciousness, causing me to pass out when I felt the pain coming on. This was becoming very troublesome for me, as you might imagine, but also quite a concern for my parents. They took me to the doctor to find out what type of treatment might help me overcome this problem. The doctors ran many tests and finally called both me and my parents in to discuss the results of the tests. To our surprise, the doctor stated that there was nothing wrong with me and that all their tests had checked out well, and I was perfectly healthy.
This was great news; however, he said the reason that I was passing out was because I was making myself
pass out. There was nothing physical in my body occurring that was causing me to lose consciousness. Well! What a shock that was to me! I was causing my own self to pass out? I left the doctor’s office in shock and thought to myself, How can this be?
According to the doctor, I was reacting to the pain that my body was feeling. My subconscious mind was reacting to the negative stimuli
