Wild and ferocious, courageous and strong,

This beast needs no music, it prances to its own song.

It’s known for its power and almighty roar,

Even the bravest of the brave can be shook to their core.

He strides with such confidence, it’s almost attractive.

If he starts to run toward you, be quick and reactive.

His mane is his glory the crown of his head.

He’s a leader by blood and many love to be lead.

He protects and love’s fiercely not the one to be taunted.

Invade his space or his territory and you’ll soon be the hunted,

With razor-sharp teeth and claws that are gripping.

His teeth are for tearing and his paws are for ripping.

Named the king of the jungle and rightfully so,

Showing power, strength and charisma to match his high ego.

Many have tried to overcome and challenge his features,

Most have failed and lost horribly to this remarkable creature.

To try and tame him is unheard of, he’s the heart of the pride,

Born with a killer instinct, which he rarely chooses to hide.

Although fierce, he’s lovable, but not the one to be defying

The animal in which I speak of, is none other than the almighty lion.

He makes the laws of his land and chooses whom he courts.

A stand alone leader, that’s just a part of his breed,

Yet this beast prefers family for its apart of his creed.

Even when caught alone you may still be outmatched,

With two growls and one howl, here comes the wolf pack.
