Dora & Millard Mom and Dad is a Classic, because I ought to know, for I am the youngest of their offspring. They have been together for 57 years. Though things have not always come easy, they just got busy, rolled their sleeves up and put their hand to the plow, and didn’t look back. This ole’57 will drive their marriage as they go toward home for theirs is a classic. God made this marriage for keeps because they love each other, for this is obvious. For when you see them at work and play, caring for each other, you just smile and say it’s definitely for keeps and think why can’t all marriages be like theirs and be for keeps and run like 57 classics like God intended them too. If you just roll up your sleeves and work together, your marriage will be for keeps and will be more easier for you than the old’ 57 Classic and will be what God intended for it to be, FOR KEEPS. Never A Dull Moment - Paul Adkins
He Keeps Me in His Arms
March 8, 2005
He keeps me in His arms
Let Jesus keep you in His arms
Let Him keep you all the time
He keeps me alive from day to day
He gives me food to eat and water to drink
He gives me strength to go along the way
He guides me through the night
Give Jesus a chance to keep you in His arms
You can’t go wrong, He has all powers in His hands
He heals the sick and raises the dead
Let Him keep you in His arms
He keeps you from being alone
He keeps you safe throughout the night
Let Jesus keep you in His arms
He will pick you up when you fall
He will supply your needs
He keeps me in His arms all the time
Let Him keep you all the time in His arms
My Dark Corner
May 29, 1977
I am all alone here in my corner
Nothing to do, just listen to the music
Turning the box on and music plays
One yellow bulb in my corner
Overhead with two bulbs on, across the room, a man asleep
It’s hard living in a place like this
Faces and places you see everyday
Nothing can be done about all of this that happens here
People walking in and going back out, it seems like a maze
The music is not bad at all, got to get up early the next day
By the way, the alarm will go off
Above the bed are posters hung with care
From locker to locker are beer tops, yes, it is made of chain
In the corner is a table, O yes, I hear them knock
I decide to write this tonight, since there is nothing else to do
Why not, the music puts you back in time
Write on until it is complete, no use to stop now
Publisher will get it someday
In my dark corner
I am still alone in my corner
Talking out loud with no one to listen
The whole world is asleep
Let me rest in my dark corner
Don’t come in, you might be amazed
Follow me until it’s over.
