About this ebook

We find ourselves so busy that we don't take the time to enjoy  simple pleasures.  Listening to the birds in the morning hours, taking a walk on the beach or even watching a lovely sunset.  When was the last time you did any of these things?  This book focuses on some of these little things that brings us much pleasure, yet we take them for granted.  It paints a picture in your mind or offers you an escape to mentally be transferred to other more peaceful surroundings.  Allow yourself to be transported to a lake watching still blue water or maybe a nice Fall day where the leaves are blowing from trees.  Or maybe just sit back and watch children at play and really listen to their laughter.  You see, these are simple things, yet they can also be priceless and so healthy for your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.  I hope you will take a moment and escape with me.  Enjoy.

    A Tribute

    Cynthia Marie Cookie Tyre Viloria

was a loving wife, sister, niece, aunt and friend.

Cynthia worked tirelessly on bringing this work to the point

of publication. She had the rare ability to put feelings and

thoughts into beautiful words. Sadly, on July 30, 2009, she

passed away after a short illness.

    A Couple’s Love

The life of a couple should be lived with each other in mind.

It is so necessary to display an attitude that is loving and kind.

Of course, no one is as close to you than your husband or your wife.

Work to rule out discord, and strife.

This person you married has to be your life long friend.

You vowed to stay together to the very end.

Hand in hand, through good times and bad.

You’ve made your house into a home, a lovely little pad.

Life is full of challenges and hurdles to get over.

Allow your deepest love, misunderstandings and hurt feelings, to

    cover.

These test and trials can make you all the more strong.

That is such a help when things appear to go wrong.

Instilled in you is an inborn desire to please each other.

Due to your love, respect, and admiration, it is no bother.

You finally see you are no longer two, but one.

A selfish, independent attitude you wisely shun.

Continue growing closer and be glad of who you are.

From the shy couple, you have come so far.

Forever think of him as he thinks of you.

Moments of unhappiness will be quite few.

    A Friend Indeed

It is so nice to have friends.

They will stick with you to the end.

Fair weather friends will come and go.

There is substance to their friendship, and it shows.

A true friend is someone you laugh with, cry with and together

    grow.

When tides and weather changes, they help to shield the blows.

You find yourself giggling at the silliest things.

And into your life new and beneficial viewpoints they bring.

Constantly thinking of your feelings before their own.

They season their words with salt when telling you that you’re

    wrong.

To be a lifelong friend, both persons have to give.

Of energy, and time to make life enjoyable to live.

It is a relationship that needs tender loving care.

Like two peas in a pod, you’re the perfect pair.

    A Mother’s Love

A mother’s love can not be measured by possessions.

There are no measurements for the happiness she brings.

She will put herself out just to make sure her child has what it

    needs.

A self-sacrificing spirit and an endless love she has.

Also a spirit that loves to nurture and cuddle the heart.

When this new little one enters the world, no one considers them

    more precious than their mothers.

Even as we grow older, they know
