Without her critiquing and encouragement I would not have continued pursuing writing from my heart. We keep in touch at least once a year (usually Christmastime). I am blessed to know her and continue to be in her debt. I graduated from Girls Catholic High School in Malden Mass in 1986. I took a few years off and went to work doing miscellaneous jobs. I went to College in 1993 for a Paralegal Program. I graduated with a certificate, but I never pursued working in the legal field. Currently I am a stay at home Mom and work part time as a book keeper for a glass company. I have been there for almost 10 years.
My mother recently passed away in February of 2008. She mostly raised me alone and struggled a lot. She sacrificed so much for me. If I were to have one wish granted to me, I would wish for her existence again. I know that is selfish. She is my inspiration to write this book. I am forever grateful to her and wish she was here to share in my son’s life. She adored him and her him. They did not have enough time together. He speaks of her often whether it is from his dreams or just everyday playing. I am extremely thankful for that. I would not have achieved what I have nor would I be as good a mother to my son without her guidance. I hope her journey to the other side was as beautiful as her presence here was to my husband, son and me. I also hope she is still proud of me.
My stepfather passed away in November 2004. I am really honored to say he was my Dad. My son was only 1 month old when he passed. I wish he could have known what a wonderful man he was.
Writing from the heart came easy for me. I like a lot of others, bottle up feelings and have no way to express them. I found my release in writing poems. Since I was a child, I had always wished that I could have a talent. I am still looking for that talent today. I can say I was given a gift. And I am thankful that I can share it with you.view less
