The Greatest Story Ever Told

About this ebook
There is nothing more powerful than the Word of God. These images are to bring more enlightenment to your understanding of the Word of God. This book will help you to be more familiar with the Bible, to understand the Scriptures better, and to see what God is really saying through these stories. It is to help build your faith because the word of God says in Romans 10:17, "So then faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God."
Not all who hear will respond. Hearing and believing produce new life; hearing and refusing produce death. The problem is not with the message or the messenger but with the hearer. Do hear the Word of God and be blessed.
This story is to let you see exactly how God operates through his holy Scriptures. You see, the Word of God is our Salvation, our Anchor, our Rock, our Strong Tower. According to John 8:32, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." God loves us dearly, but he wants us to walk in obedience to him so that the enemy cannot have a free course in our lives.

Introduction
This great story of the Bible that the Lord prompted in my spirit to write is PICTORIAL. It’s POWERFUL, it’s EXHILARATING, it’s EXCITING, it’s VERY SERIOUS, and it’s a LIFE CHANGER. It’s a true story of the Bible. This story is very real. It’s the story of the Bible come alive. It is THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD. Reading this story will cause you to search the Scriptures more deeply and more prayerfully daily. It will cause you to do a soul search on yourself. It’s food for your hungry souls and gives directions for your life. You will never be the same after reading this live story. Once you began reading it, it will be hard to put it down. So find yourself a quiet place for some quiet time alone with Jesus, and hear the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart. Do enjoy and come out as a new creature in Christ.
As you read this book and trust the words that are written herein, you will find yourself metamorphosing like a butterfly. Slowly but surely you are coming out, and you are coming out strong and beautiful. No matter what your situation or circumstance may be at the moment, the Word of God brings new life to them that believe. The Word of God is power! Reading this book will cause your faith to take leaps. According to the Scriptures, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. You will see for yourself the work and power of God working in the lives of those who have chosen to believe and obey him and how the old patriarchs, Abraham, Isaiah, and Jacob, just to name a few, chose to obey God’s laws and commands by trusting God’s every word and reaped the total benefits and abundant blessings just as God had promised. "No good thing will I withhold from them that walk uprightly" (Psalm 84:11b).
Here is one beautiful example among many others of some of the old patriarchs: Abraham’s faith never failed. He never staggered at the promise of God. He was willing to sacrifice his son, his only son, because his faith in God never wavered. He never staggered at the promises of God. Whatever God spoke to Abraham, God never had to tell him twice. Abraham trusted God, and God provided a sacrifice (a ram caught in a bush) in place of his son. Abraham’s faith in God saved his son’s life.
God Tested Abraham’s Faith and Obedience
God said, Abraham, sacrifice your son, your only son. Do you think Abraham obeyed God? Let’s see! Let’s go to the Scriptures.
And it came to pass after these things that God did test Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham!
God called. Yes, Lord,
Take with you your only son—yes, Isaac whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah and sacrifice him there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I’ll point out to you!
The next morning Abraham got up early, chopped wood for the fire upon the altar; saddled his donkey, and took with him his son Isaac and two young men who was his servants, and started off to the place where God had told him to go. On the third day of the journey Abraham saw the place in the distance. Stay here with the donkey,
Abraham told the young men, and the lad and I will travel yonder and worship, and then come right back again
(Genesis 22:1–5).
Now that’s faith, that’s total faith.
God gave Abraham a test, not to trip him and watch him fall, but to deepen his capacity to obey God and thus to develop his character. Just as fire refines ore to extract precious metals, God refines us through difficult circumstances. When we are tested, we can complain, or we can try to see how God is stretching us to develop our character.
That morning Abraham began one of the greatest acts of obedience in recorded history. Over the years, he had learned many tough lessons about the importance of obeying God. This time his obedience was prompt and complete. Obeying God is often a struggle because it may mean giving up something we truly want. We should not expect our obedience to God to be easy or to come naturally.
Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but he was strong in faith, giving glory to God.
Who against hope believed in hope. So when God told Abraham that he would give him a son who would have many descendants and become a great nation, Abraham believed God. And because his faith was strong, he didn’t worry about the fact that he was too old to be a father at the age of one hundred, and that Sarah his wife, at ninety, was also much too old to have a baby. But Abraham never doubted. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. He was completely persuaded that God was well able to do anything he promised. And because of Abraham’s faith God forgave his sins and declared him righteous, in other words, not guilty
(Romans 4:18-22).
Through this difficult experience, Abraham strengthened his commitment to obey God. He also learned about God’s ability to provide.
When they arrived at the place where God had told Abraham to go, he built an altar and placed the wood in order, ready for the fire and then tied Isaac and laid him on the altar over the wood. And Abraham took the knife and lifted it up to plunge it into his son, to kill him. At that moment, the Angel of God shouted to him from heaven, Abraham! Abraham!
Yes, Lord!
he answered. Lay down the knife; don’t hurt the lad in any way,
the Angel said, for now I know that you fear God, seeing that you have not withheld your only son from God.
Then Abraham noticed a ram caught by its horns in a bush. So he took the ram and sacrificed it, instead of his son, as a burnt offering on the altar. And Abraham called the name of this place Jehovah Jireh, God will provide.
And it still goes by that name to this day. (Genesis 22:9–14)
Don’t Despair! Be Encouraged! God Will Provide!
NOTICE THE PARALLEL BETWEEN THE RAM OFFERED ON THE ALTAR AS A SUBSTITUTE AND CHRIST OFFERED ON THE CROSS AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR US. WHEREAS GOD STOPPED ABRAHAM FROM SACRIFICING HIS SON, GOD DID NOT SPARE HIS OWN SON, JESUS, FROM DYING ON THE CROSS.
IF JESUS HAD LIVED, THE REST OF MANKIND WOULD HAVE DIED. GOD SENT HIS ONLY SON TO DIE FOR US SO THAT WE CAN BE SPARED FROM THE ETERNAL DEATH WE DESERVE AND INSTEAD RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE (READ JOHN 3:16).
Prophet Daniel’s Faith in God Was Tested.
Prophet Daniel trusted God and refused to stop praying three times a day and giving thanks to his God. Now, for that reason, he was thrown into a
