The Poet's Perspective: Faith Of The Believer
()
About this ebook
Faith of the Believer is a combination of creative poetry, philosophy, and wit that is founded on the believer's responsibility to seek to rise up to the standard. A standard which was founded by our Savior, which came with basic instructions, for each believer to go, teach, and make disciples. Poetry is the vehicle, philosophy is the wheels on which it rolls, and the Word is the fuel, which propels it. Somewhere within the bounds of Faith of the Believer is a "spirit check," a personal revival, an awakening of your original vow. A vow to a faith that you were not drafted into but one that you believe in your heart and confessed with your mouth and freely enlisted. So if you are outside of His will, then know that there might be something you yet need to do, or someone that only you can reach. So you might need to get off the sidelines and back in the game, a game that we can't afford to lose. For we are all here with purpose. And time is winding down for the children of man. I come to you in the volume of the book with purpose, as one crying in the wilderness, trying to open the eyes of the children of man, before they are harvested by minds of destruction. For God called preachers, God sent teachers, God sent prophets, and God sent poets. And I am "The Poet," and this is The Poet's perspective on the faith of the believer.

The Poet's Perspective - Charles Peterson : The Poet
Acknowledgments
To the loving memory of my mother (The Old Girl
), Mrs. Rosielee Peterson, and my father, Mr. Willie Edward Lee Moses Malachi Peterson, for planting the seeds of family values, strength of conviction, the thirst to fulfill the responsibilities passed on, and created, lacing in my spirit, the strength of character entwined in a can-do spirit.
I thank God for my children Anita, Tanisha, and Charles Jr. and for my brothers: Willie (Rasmiah), Oscar (Linda), Clarence (Rosa), Ulysses (Linda), and Benjamin. And my sister May (Dwayne) Herring, A’mmary (my oldest grandson whom I raised), and a special cousin, Mrs. Selina Randall (J. C.). I love you all unconditionally and know you all have helped to fulfill the dream spiritually, mentally, and physically.
And to my helpmate, a virtuous woman, and my wife, Joyce Lee Peterson, for encouraging, inspiring, being my sounding board, and critic to help me maintain the standard. I yet love you with a passion
for you complete me. And I thank you for most of the time understanding that I need fifteen or maybe a half hour more to write, and that I’ll be to bed soon (maybe).
To all of those who’ve helped or encouraged in any way along the way, including my church family, Gospel Tabernacle MBC, thank you, and may God bless you.
And as always I give honor to God, for all His gifts and over fifty years of creativity. Surely ink flows through my veins
in His Name.
Dea. Charles E. Peterson Sr.
The Poet
You might want to get your glasses or bifocals out for this one because it’s compounded three-dimensional. But you shall be well rewarded
in the breadth of its totality. So here’s to . . .
Hope Everlasting
The legacy of life was given to mankind in
Hope that he would someday mature and achieve the right to
Eternal life, to walk among the immortal who
Believe that good is better than evil, hope is better than despair
Love is better than hate, and believing will get you there
Ordained by the spirit of truth and love
Our hope has been blessed from above
Destiny set if we’d just believe
Life eternal the reward to receive
Interceded, because of the darkness of sin would
Never have earned the right to enter in, where (all) life begins and
Ends never more.
Well, isn’t that the way it is in life? If you want to get the reward like those old bounty hunters, you’ve got to track down the bounty and turn them in. In this case, you’ve got to believe that the one who interceded came down through the bloodline,
creating a path to eternal life. With that being said, this poem is to let you know that all things aren’t always as they appear to be when The Poet
creates. Seek out the bloodline
and follow the path of the the hope eternal.
With so many questions and relentless wonderings, after beholding the universe and the magnitude of its magnitude added to all the speculations of the origin of man. It all leads back to the only predominate answer:
In the Beginning There Was God
Before there was heaven, the planets, and earth
Before the galaxy and the stars of the universe
Before the land and the water was here, there was God.
Before Mother Nature or Father Time
Before the angels or mankind
Before there was knowledge or prayer
Before mankind even knew He was there, there was God.
Before the devil and all his evil ways,
He was there who is most worthy of praise
Before all life or the first death
He was there within
Himself
For in the beginning there was God.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that everything has an origin and to behold the wonders of the universe and know that man had nothing to do with its creation. Yet, we must come to terms within ourselves, with how, when, and where concerning the beginning.
Way back beyond the phantoms of the mind was created the beginning. And man has questioned and scrutinized it with his vast, limited wisdom from generation to generation. And man has pitted scientific evolution against spiritual creation. All the scientific explanations are found to be inconclusive, conjecture, presumption, and theory. All based on man’s evaluations and deductions. The written word is a living document that starts off with "In the Beginning" (hint). It speaks of a creator who created the heavens and the earth and divided the waters from the waters, created all the animals, birds, fish, and creepy crawly things of the earth and formed from the dust of the ground man and blew into him the breath of life.
In the Beginning
In this world of what came first, the chicken or the egg
The big bang theory or the primate evolution misconception
Beginning has been questioned and opinionated off the gauge
Was there a cosmic explosion in the cosmos back beyond the eons?
The thing that created order and started the eventual cycle of time and life
Word to the alleged wise who believe this theory and offer explanation
And spout scientific rationalization supporting their theories of relativity
The explanation and rationalizations are all somewhat unique
Word of God though supports awe, purpose, harmony, balance, and creativity
Was there by chance a Big Bang, and if so, who supplied the power?
With these explanations, doesn’t something have to power nothing?
God has sent His Word among us and how over man’s interpretations it towers
And who among us can deny that all things that originate have to have an origin
The complex configurations of universes, galaxies, worlds, and man happenstance
Word of God documents the events of creation as In the Beginning for men
Was there any other need for documentation other than for questions there are answers?
God is the answer for "In the Beginning" was The Word and The Word was with God.
Take a look around you and behold what mankind has done with his limited wisdom. Everything that was created by man had a beginning, an origin from something.
Then look no further than your own solar system and see constant balance in the distance, revolving planets with revolving suns and moons, and know that in each there is purpose. Can this kind of order come from such a destructive force (which had to get its power from nothing)?
I choose God’s word
The complex configurations of universes, galaxies, worlds, and man happenstance . . .
When you acknowledge without question that all that was created was created by Him, as you behold His wonders in submissive awe, believing in your heart that He lives. It’s easy to understand why . . .
He Rules
He rules over the darkness
All the fears of the night
It was He in the beginning
Who said, Let there be light.
He rules over Mother Nature at her worst
And her best
He’s the only one qualified to give Father Time
The longevity test.
He rules the power of the air
And his demon band
Satan has power
But all power
is in His hands
He rules over the little things
Taken for granted by mankind
Like being aware through our five senses
And being in your right mind
Rules over the angels, demons as well
Rules over heaven rules over hell
He rules over destiny, rules over fate
It’s He who lights the way, of the
