Carolyn Taylor Petroski

Carolyn Petroski learned from an early age to draw strength and comfort from the Psalms and other bible scriptures. Her faith walk helped her cope with her mother's lifelong mental illness, her father's World War II related post traumatic stress disorder, six years as a single parent, and most recently, fourteen years as caregiver of aging parents. Carolyn earned a degree in special education with a minor in psychology, and has worked as a public school teacher, a home school mom, and a non-profit founder and director. She and her husband, Jeff, have three grown children and live in Lancaster, S.C.

I would like to thank my family for supporting me during the research and writing of this devotional. Thanks to my husband, Jeff, for continuing to be the sole breadwinner so that I could explore my interests. You have patiently encouraged me to stick with it when things get frustrating and not to give up on my dreams.

Thanks to my son, Reggie Campbell, for helping me with the domestic side of life, especially for cooking all those yummy meals, shopping for groceries, and keeping the dishes loaded into the dishwasher!
