Description

I got stuck on a roller coaster this weekend. Side ways for a bit, going backwards in slow motion for a bit, stalled for nearly an hour. It gave me plenty of time to practice seeing through it all!  "What I think is that a good life is one hero journey after another. Over and over again, you are called to the realm of adventure, you are called to new horizons. Each time, there is the same problem: do I dare? And then if you do dare, the dangers are there, and help also, and the fulfillment or the fiasco. There's always the possibility of a fiasco. But there's also the possibility of bliss." - Joseph Campbell Ask yourself, "what am I giving right now?" and feel the quality of the moment change.  The atomstphere lightens, your heart lightens, like you're being drawn up and away from your problems,  entering ino this new earth where there are no problems,  just appearances of problems, of stalled roller coasters, of not enough time, not enough money, not enough attention, not enough love.  Can you give Beauty for ashes in those moments? Can you give the Oil of Joy instead of mourning? Or a Garment of Praise instead of the spirit of despair? That's the challenge today and every seeming moment, whatever is presented, can you remember to chant His Name? Can you take the Name of God? Can you remember Her Love? Can you give It? can you feel It?  I Love You I  Am You nik "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.” - Isaiah 61:3 To claim your free gift, leave a review on Apple Podcasts, screenshot it and send it to me at nikki@curlynikki.com!  Join us on Patreon to support the show, and tune into and participate in live video Q&As with me!  Support the show ************************* "The following passage comes from the Gospel of Matthew in the Holy Scriptures, and it has mystified, confused, and been misunderstood by many people over the centuries. "Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him." You have to admit that when you read the passage it appears unjust, as it seems to be saying that the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. But there's a riddle to be solved in this passage, a mystery to uncover, and when you know it a new world will have opened up for you. The answer to the mystery that has eluded so many for centuries is in one hidden word: gratitude. "Whoever has gratitude will be given more, and he or she will have an abundance. Whoever does not have gratitude, even what he or she has will be taken from him or her." By the revelation of one hidden word, a cryptic text is made crystal clear. Two thousand years have passed since those words were recorded, but they are as true today as they ever were: if you don't take the time to be grateful you will never have more, and what you do have you will lose. And the promise of the magic that will happen with gratitude is in these words: if you're grateful you will be given more, and you will have an abundance! From the Koran the promise of gratitude is equally emphatic: "And (remember) when God proclaimed: 'If you are grateful I will give you more; but if you are ungrateful verily my punishment is indeed severe.'" It doesn't matter what religion you follow, or whether you're religious or not, these words from the Holy Scriptures and the Koran apply to you and your life. They are describing a fundamental law of science and of the Universe." - Rhonda Byrnes, The Magic "If there is not enough love in your life, it is only because you are not loving enough, and that means that you are not tapping the infinite source of love within your own being. Let that love flow out: Love this world; love the sun, the moon, and the stars; love the plants and the flowers; love all the people.
