About this ebook

These questions and many more are all accurately answered in this book. Is marijuana use a gateway to the use of harder drugs? Will a person's ultimate destiny be heaven or hell if that same person continues to use and/or partake in the marijuana business? Is using and/or partaking in the marijuana business considered pharmakeia drug sorcery? Is marijuana the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, or is it the tree of life? From where, when, and how did marijuana come to exist? Can a person use and/or partake in the marijuana business and still be a true believer in GOD/YAH? Is the marijuana business a legitimate business? Was marijuana in the Garden of Eden? What role does marijuana play in end-time Bible prophecy? Does GOD/YAH approve or condone the use and/or being involved in the marijuana business? Is it possible to become established in GOD's righteousness while being involved in the marijuana business? Will marijuana ever be legalized for recreational use in the USA and throughout the world? What is a conscience, and how did it come to exist in human beings? Did Jesus/Yahshua actually drink fermented alcoholic wine during his ministry? Has modern-day marijuana been genetically modified? Why is the new-school marijuana more potent than the old-school marijuana? Why aren't modern-day true believers experiencing maximum quality blessings mentioned in Deuteronomy 28:1-14? How come the name-it and claim-it method of receiving blessings isn't working for you? What about and what are the sacred names of God? What is God's seal of being a true believer and that of being a recipient of his salvation?

    Preface

If you run across any portion of this book that seems uninteresting, boring, irrelevant, etc., then by all means skip it and move on forward; however, you may want to come back and read those skipped portions later on. Let me make myself absolutely clear in that I do not always agree with all the sources or all the information that they provided as is quoted, cited, and/or subnoted in herein book. I truly dislike reading a book that does not have its subnotes listed and written on the same page of where they are being referenced. Nevertheless, due to the many subnotes listed and their length, the only plausible method to include them was at the end of each chapter or at the very end of this book; the latter was chosen. Seriously, you will need to read each one of those subnotes when referenced, and the best way I have found to do that is to use a second bookmarker ¹ inserted at the tail end of this book at each chapter’s subnotes and then reinsert it as you progress through them.

It is without a doubt that some people will not be much impressed with my forthcoming introduction, autobiography, and other similar portions that go into great detail on marijuana itself mainly due to the fact it will appear to them that I am promoting the use of it as I once upon a long time ago indeed did so. However, that is actually not the case with this book’s contents. I go into great detail for the purpose of letting the readers realize that I was significantly knowledgeable about and involved with marijuana up to my eyeballs, so to speak. For those of you who have never or seldom used marijuana and are still yet trying to deter others from doing so, those detailed portions may come across as being offensive, even seemingly served up as though it is the forbidden fruit. Foremostly, you must come to understand that I am also attempting to prevent the hardheaded stiff- necks such as I used to be, And such were some of you (1 Corinthians 6:9–11) from being cast into hell’s lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15, 21:8). Those hardheads will not, I repeat, will not listen to or consider quitting if the suggestion to do so comes from people they look upon as being straightys, rednecks, etc., (those who never used marijuana). Fact is, when some people read the Meth = Sorcery book,² they simply proclaimed, well the ole boy who wrote that book couldn’t handle the high on meth, suggesting his weakness.

If I sugarcoat my involvement in the marijuana business in this book, some readers will think and say same or similar things³ about me and discredit what I’ve wrote as well as them not receiving nor benefitting from its contents. Just think of me as a want-to-be High Times magazine Ed Rosenthal⁴ type of guy who finally saw the divine light (Acts 9:3–6), confessed and repented of my marijuana involvement, then obeyed the voice accompanying that light by writing this book. It is certainly not my intention to assist others in the constructing or perfecting of a marijuana business to enable the use, cultivation, distribution, or any other similar aspects involved therewith. It is quite unfortunate as stated hereinabove that some people who will read this book will undoubtedly assume that that is exactly what I’m doing. If you want to improve your skills on using, cultivating, and/or distributing marijuana, there are numerous books and other resources available to assist you in those endeavors, but this one here is not it.

I’ve also tried to stray away from using hard to understand collegiate-style words so that even the simplest of minds can understand what needs to be understood, including those who may be experiencing a high when reading. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear, (Matthew 11:15, 13:9, 43, Mark 4:9, 23, 7:16, Luke 8:8, 14:35). People cannot hear and/or understand to well when the words being spoken or read are above their league of comprehension or they are too high to focus their attention, understand, or give a care about it. SELAH!

    Introduction

Before you attempt to dive headlong into the full depth of this book, it may be necessarily wise to do some homework research (if you haven’t already done so) to familiarize yourself with some of the basic fundamental scientific facts, studies, and statistics as are claimed by various sources ¹ in regard to our subject of marijuana. Even though the scientific research world as to marijuana seems to be ever-changing ² and clearly different, even opposing opinions are the norm. Some scientific research study statistics (especially the more modern ones) are undoubtedly factually truthful, especially in the areas that are obvious to anyone that has cultivated it and/or used marijuana for its high-inducing effects (euphoric, psychoactive, etc.), i.e., copping a buzz.

The following information listed inside the brackets is what you may similarly find in an encyclopedia or other similar research materials. Words in bold print throughout this book are for particular importance and therefore emphasized in bold. [Marijuana is a crude drug preparation (keep forefront in your mind that this crude form is what this book is intended to exclusively encompass) made from the hemp plant cannabis sativa (or cannabis indica). The flowering tops of the plant secrete a sticky resin that contains the psychoactive material for which marijuana is used. The plant is dioecious, which means that there are both male and female plants. Female plants contain dense flower clusters and therefore are preferred over male plants. Hashish is a similar crude drug preparation made from the same plant.

Marijuana can be chewed or eaten, but it is usually smoked in hand-rolled cigarettes or in pipes. The main psychoactive ingredient is delta-g-THC or A-⁹ THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). The amount of that ingredient in marijuana varies depending on many factors,³ including climate.⁴ Generally plants from hot, dry areas produce more THC.⁵

There are literally hundreds of names of marijuana among which grass and pot are the most common. Terms⁶ for marijuana are often based on place of origin and color—for example, Acapulco Gold, Panama Red, and Congo Black. The primary reason that people usemarijuana is its effects on the brain. Acute effects last about two to three hours and include relaxation, a sense of euphoria described as a high,⁸ altered time and perception, and impairment of motor skills such as those involved in driving⁹ a car. Many psychological effects depend on the setting¹⁰ in which marijuana is used. When the user takes it while alone, he or she may feel drowsy and restful, experience memory loss,¹¹ and lethargy-inducing actions.] (Encyclopedia portion ends.)

    Hermaphroditism

In addition to the above referenced research (of which to some extent may prove to be nothing more or less than educated opinions), your author points out that marijuana plants as is stated above to be dioecious (meaning having male and female flowers borne on separate differentiated plants); some plants are also hermaphrodite,¹² also known as monoecious, which simply means having male and female flowers borne on the same exact plant. In some cases, I have encountered bare pollen stamens with no sacs, appearing like miniature yellowish-green bananas growing out of an otherwise unseeded female-flowering top or bud. A flower is most commonly referred to as a "bud" or "top" in grower and user’s terminology. "The flowering upper branches of cannabis are sometimes called by the Spanish word for an animal’s tail, cola, and the flowers form tight clusters known as buds," (Hemp For Health, page 12). Hermaphroditism, however, seems to occur more often when growing marijuana indoors as a result of inferior seed and/or a fluctuating inadequate artificial lighting system configuration. It also seems that sometimes a female plant somehow senses¹³ that there are no male plants in close proximity to pollinate it after it has reached a certain stage of maturity in some instances. Then due to it striving to procreate itself, it manages to produce just enough male pollen to induce fertilization upon itself resulting in the formation of ample seeds for future reproduction, the process of which is also known as hermaphroditism.

    Sinsemilla

Sinsemilla, on the other hand, is a notable name coming from two Spanish words sin meaning without and semilla meaning seed. It is a pure, virgin female plant that has not been pollinated by any male plant nor a victim of hermaphroditism. The hillbillies call it stir pod ¹⁴ for sterile marijuana (no seed pods). It is this sinsemilla¹⁵ form of marijuana that almost all growers strive to perfect because the virgin female continues to produce more sticky resin containing the potent psychoactive ingredient THC to its flowering tops in order to assist in catching male pollen similar to the intention of using sticky flypaper to capture pesky flies. The longer the female is unable to catch pollen and inability to produce seed, the bigger and more potent its flowering buds or colas become. Howbeit, there is a point that the female plant’s flowering buds reach their maximum THC potency or ripeness, and each bud may reach that stage days or even weeks apart from each other like an okra vegetable plant does. This is usually determined by methodically observing the maturing bud’s resin sacs/glands by a seasoned grower, which for some may require the use of a magnifying glass being those resin sacs¹⁶ or glands are very small.

    Male Plants

The male plants or male portions of plants (in the case of hermaphroditism) have a much more harsh taste when smoked and, more often than not, will prove to be basically worthless for obtaining a pleasant or extended high. Fact is, the smoking of male plants may even result in experiencing a headache or even nausea. The quality of high one may receive (if any at all) from a male¹⁷ plant or a male portion depends on the variety (strain, type) of plant and/or how far it matured deceivingly as a female (in case of a hermaphrodite) in its more advanced stage of flowering which is when the male plant produces the most THC in its resin. In other words, males and hermaphrodites are not the same but females can transform themselves into what sometimes appear as a total genuine male. Marijuana, like most other flowers and vegetable-producing plants, have what is commonly referred to as a vegetative stage and then later in maturity, a flowering stage of growth cycles. These two stages are induced and/or controlled by the hours of light and/or darkness the plant actually receives within an ongoing consistent twenty-four-hour period. Notwithstanding this normality, selective breeding (or more modern genetic modification) has been utilized to circumvent normality which has resulted in some specialty varieties flowering earlier than others such as with the Early Pearl type varieties.

When growing outdoors, a marijuana plant stays in its vegetative stage from spring on through most of the hot summer months, but toward the end of summer (usually in August in Midwest USA) when the daylight hours start to dwindle, female plants will then start to show their gender. They will start to mature to the point of attempting to collect pollen and if successful, will form seeds for purposes of reproducing again the following year. Male plants, however, will show their gender earlier and along with hermaphroditism will continue to be a plague to producing sinsemilla. That’s why they have to be completely eliminated at first sight of being a male.

Quality of Marijuana as to THC Content

As for the quality of marijuana in the area of THC content, this depends greatly on the variety, type/strain, and growing conditions, especially during the flowering stage of growth. Usually a high-potent variety will still produce a good THC content even in some of the least favored growing environment. But a low-potent variety will produce low quality no matter how good the growing environment is. Marijuana seemingly proves to be just like other plants, even animals, in that the purer and better breed used to begin with, the better the consistency in quality will continue to result. As previously mentioned, the plant’s resin that contains THC travels up to the flowering tops of the plants to aid the flowers from burning up in the intense sun or intense artificial lighting. So, it stands to reason that the more intense hot light from the lighting source that a good-potent variety can withstand without burning up, such will ultimately result in the buds containing a higher amount of THC. This same phenomenon occurs in hot years when growing fruit and vegetables, resulting in the produce tasting sweeter and richer because of the more intense sun drawing additional taste-altering nutrients up into the produce itself. However, modern-day technology has produced genetically modified marijuana containing much more THC without the necessity of intense light and/or heat. More on that coming up!

    Seeds

It is said by the experts in the Netherlands¹⁸ that good-quality varieties of pot seed are maintained by not allowing the plants to produce seed by means of incest breeding. In other words, to make sure the same plant does not breed its siblings and vice versa, or its seedling offspring do not pollinate each other as brother and sister plants. To accomplish such a feat will prove to be virtually impossible with only a limited access to seed stock and plants to begin with. It has also been claimed, and I must agree, that a hermaphrodite plant is a breeder’s nightmare and that every seed from a hermaphrodite plant will always grow and mature to become either a male or another hermaphrodite plant. The incest breeding of plants and/or inconsistent, inadequate lighting has been also proven to cause hermaphroditism, including resulting in a higher percentage of male plants and that of depreciating the plant’s ability to produce THC. It has been claimed that marijuana seeds can lay dormant and viable for more than one year in, or above the ground, then germinate and grow years later as volunteers. I have yet to personally witness such an occurrence happening for more than the normal one-year without requiring fresh seed stock. I do know that marijuana seed stored in a good container and placed under ideal conditions will germinate and grow after several years in storage. When thoroughly cleaned, not even the most potent marijuana-type cannabis seed contains detectable amounts of the psychoactive chemical THC, and …even sterilized hemp seed will sprout, although it will not germinate and grow into a viable plant, (Hemp For Health, pages 115 & 116).

    Clones

One sure way to insure the integrity of a good breed or variety is to clone the female’s flowering tops by cutting the stems down a ways from the flower while they are still somewhat in their vegetative stage of growth but at the first sign of revealing it is a female. Cloning is a method of taking those clippings and then prepping them with a root-conditioning chemical solution or powder that causes roots to form where the chemical substance has been applied on the fresh-cut stem areas. Once a substantial root formation is observed, the clone can be transplanted into its growing medium and tailored environment. You just have to hope the mother plant the clippings are harvested from is not a hermaphrodite, or it all will have been done in vain. Cloning¹⁹ completely bypasses the entire normal reproductive process of a pot plant. Otherwise, one needs to cause pollination of the females from a male plant, preferably of which is not of close kinship or, even better, not kin to the female(s) at all, of which then will start the formation of seeds.

    Species/Genus

There are only three main species²⁰ of marijuana/cannabis/hemp known as of yet: (1) cannabis sativa, (2) cannabis indica, and (3) cannabis ruderalis. I have smoked, grown, eaten, and thoroughly experimented with the sativa and indica but not sure (very unlikely) as if I’ve ever came into contact with ruderalis. The best of the former two worlds is to crossbreed the first two, and I’m sure the best of all three worlds would be a combination of crossbreeding the best of all three species. However, I have been informed that ruderalis does not contain any significant or overwhelming THC content compared to sativa or indica and thus undesirable for those who use pot to get high on. Nevertheless, most of this type of isolated breeding procedures and experimentation is more commonly accomplished indoors in a controlled environment where it can be closely observed and monitored.

    Genetic Modification

It may be a good time to interject what initially was my common-sense opinion as to how some modern-day marijuana purposely contains more THC²¹ than that back, say, in the 1960s and early 1970s and of course even long before that time period. You will need to carefully consider the sources of information made available in that most people who are against marijuana use do not have personal knowledge about this subject because, for the most part, they have never used it. On the other hand, those who are for marijuana use are careful not to divulge too much info to the public just in case such info may turn the public against its legalization/decriminalization. And rightly so because many people are totally against genetically modified plants and similar genetically modified organisms.

When I was in New Amsterdam, Netherlands, my newly acquired friend from over there, struggling with proper translation of crucial words, tried to explain how the Cannabis Cup-winning gurus came up with (formulated) their winning varieties. My conclusion as a result of that complex conversation is that some of the modern marijuana that possesses significantly more THC percentages than that of the decades’ older stuff is very likely due to—wait for it—human scientific intervention we now know as some form of genetic modification!²² This similar genetic modification has been going on for many years such as with corn, wheat, etc., for example by a leader of said engineering, Monsanto.²³ Genetically modified vegetables have not always been accepted back when discovered they had been altered or even now by today’s standards. And that is why marijuana enthusiasts who are aware of this modern-engineering wonder are reluctant to discuss the true fact or even the probability that some modern-day pot has been genetically modified to produce more THC. That’s right, folks, Dr. Frankenstein with his modern genetically modified technology has entered the marijuana mix to assist in fulfilling biblical end time prophecy. (Revelation 18:23, 21:8, 22:15, sorcerers/pharmakeia/pharmakon, etc. = drug abuse/abusers, dopeheads, etc.) If I am right about genetic modification being the explanation for more THC in the new-school pot compared to the old-school pot, then buckle your seat belts and get ready for much more THC-producing marijuana to hit the marketplaces, especially now that the big league GMO producers are stepping up to the plate.

Consider these common-sense-approach facts of which many farmers, gardeners, pot breeders, and growers alike, for the most part, are already well aware of the similarities involved. When breeding a lower-quality plant with less THC content to a higher-quality plant with more THC content (or vice versa), the resulting reproduction of the resulting seed and plant will most likely not produce a plant with more THC content than the two individual primary plants used for the initial breeding. Moreover, two plants with equal THC percentages when similarly bred, most likely will not increase THC content of either one as they both stand on equal footing when and before being bred. So, the sole explanation of special selective breeding being given for the substantial increase from 2–4 percent in old-school pot, to say, 13–15 percent, even 25 percent or more THC in the newer-school pot just does not always seem to add up using breeder’s mathematics. "Cannabis has definitely been genetically modified for the underground and ‘medical’ markets, but not using the modern methods that get called ‘GMO.’ The modification of the genetics of marijuana achieved using a combination of traditional breeding techniques and clumsy, ‘old school’ techniques like chemical mutagenesis and induced polyploidy. In other words, various enterprising people used toxic chemicals to cause mutations or used Colchicine to induce the plants to double the number of chromosomes in every cell. Some of these plants grew better and/or made more THC. That is why modern marijuana is so much more potent."²⁴ This explanation is what I believe my Dutch friend was trying his best to convey to me, and as you can read & research for yourself, it is not just exclusively selective breeding. Furthermore, it is certainly not the results of the normal reproductive process of any species of cannabis. So call it what you want, but what this all really points to is the anticipation of what truly qualifies for GMO in the near future to result in more THC-content-laden pot to materialize and be ultimately legalized for distribution across the planet. (Revelation 18:23.)

Howbeit, as stated hereinabove previously, intense sun or intense artificial light will increase THC percentage in pot, but that unique phenomenon cannot be passed on through breeding techniques. This type phenomenon is also difficult to duplicate, especially in any consistent manner, and is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9)—pun intended—as such is well known and been realized for decades. Just another reason why some form of genetic modification is a more plausible explanation for the undisputable additional THC content disparity between the old -versus- new school marijuana variety concoctions.

    Names, Slangs, and Titles

The name marijuana²⁵ comes from an interesting background and "appears to have first been used in Mexico. It is a contraction of the name Maria Juana (Mary Jane). The word alludes to the female flowers as well as to their use as aphrodisiac (cf. Reko 1936:64)…curiously, a folk etymological explanation of marijuana in Mexico traces the name back to the Aztec words mali, ‘bundle of grass,’ and ha huana, ‘inebriating’ (Diaz 1979:78)," (Marijuana Medicine, page 149). As to other primary names given this same plant, …use the term industrial hemp²⁶ to refer to varieties of cannabis with no psychoactive effect. The terms cannabis²⁷ and hemp refer to the entire genus, as they have for centuries. Resinous cannabis and marijuana refer to strains that produce a psychoactive²⁸ effect, (Hemp For Health, page 5). There are many slang words that have been given to marijuana over the years; some of which are still frequently in use, the most notorious being simply pot. I think the slang name pot came around as a result of many people picturing in their minds marijuana being grown in container pots just like potted house plants, hence the shortened down term of pot. Then of course, we have the old saying that goes something like things are going to pot, suggesting degradation of whatever subject matter the word things may stand for. Incidentally, the word Indo some assume stands for an Indonesian variety of pot, instead usually means simply pot grown indoors (indo-ors). Similarly, the word chronic is given to basically any pot that makes one cough a lot, likened to a chronic cougher.

    Life or Death Questions

So how does all this marijuana stuff affect our relationship with Father God Almighty²⁹ (YHVH) and his unique begotten Son Jesus Christ (Y’shua)? Is it possible that people can obtain salvation while continuing to use, cultivate, and/or distribute marijuana? And the most pressing, even potentially fatal question this book was conceived to answer (hence the title Marijuana: Heaven Or Hell?) is, will people be sentenced and punished in hell’s lake of fire if they choose to continue using, cultivating, and/or distributing marijuana? If you are not sure of the answers to those and other similar questions and/or need some meaningful information in this area of subject matter, then this book was written for you and specifically for that purpose. You will at the very least be significantly assisted in reaching your own informative conclusion based upon solid Bible-scripture foundation and under close scrutiny thereof. Here again, I cannot emphasize enough with all due respect in abundant caution and acting in love toward my neighbors that it is not this author’s intent in writing any portion of this book or any part of the references or subnotes made herein to favorably assist someone already involved or to be potentially involved in the future, to master a better mousetrap or to become more efficient in any marijuana operation. This book, although originally intended to cover essentially only the marijuana issue, without a doubt can also be used as an efficient tool in discussing other drugs in relation to the will of the Father YHVH, his Son Y’shua, their ways, laws, and/or commandments as a way of life for all true believers in particular. Be advised when I use the words or terms true believer(s) or believer(s) in this book, I am specifically referring to those persons who truly believe and literally trust their lives & wellbeing in/with the above referenced Father God (YHVH) and his Son Jesus (Y’shua).

This introduction—but not entirely limited hereto—as far as any of my own personal opinion and input, even my references and subnotes, as I’ve stated hereinabove, are intended to give the reader a general idea that this author is not just a greenhorn novice or a possessor of inferior knowledge and/or lacking in experience regarding the marijuana subject matter at hand. But to the exact contrary, I have had a fairly in depth involvement (good and bad, mostly bad due to
