About this ebook

THE CHRONICLES OF THE SEED In the Gospel of Mark, the fourth chapter, Jesus asked two questions that should have stopped us in our tracks. However for years I read right past this without a second thought. Jesus asked his disciples the following questions when they wanted an explanation about the parable of the sower. "Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?" It was as if Jesus said STOP! Do not go any farther until you completely understand the essence of the parable of the sower. Just before this Jesus says "To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables", suggesting that this is a great mystery that is not for everybody, but you (His disciples) have the privilege of knowing and understanding this mystery. Finally He gives the key to this great mystery, "The sower soweth the Word". In other words, the Word is 'The Seed'. The Word is the Seed that all other seeds proceed from. The Word of God was here before any other seed. John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God".

    DEDICATION

I dedicate this book to Angeline Williams, who has been my friend, second mother, encourager and prayer partner (warrior). For over 30 years she has covered me in prayer through all of the things you find in this book and many more that cannot be numbered. She went to be with the Lord April 29, 2017, only a few days before I finished this book.

I also dedicate this book to Daniel Gosserand, my son in the Lord, who went to be with the Lord in 1990, at the early age of 19.

    Foreword

Overall, today’s society is bored. Boredom is defined in part as an emotional or psychological state experienced when an individual is left without anything in particular to do, and is not interested in his or her surroundings. Even though the primary thought or question on the minds of young adults is what can I do to impact the world, there is no excitement about this desire to have a lasting impact on society. Seed is the cure for boredom. The idea of the seed is referred to as the seed concept. The seed concept brings a passion to impact your world by using the thing(s) that God has deposited in you…thus, putting an end to boredom. Because of the seed, there is a passion to hear from God that stirs you up and fans the flame to impact your world.

God has given James Roan tremendous revelation regarding the seed concept. He is affectionately known for reminding believers that everything they purpose, plan, or achieve depends upon their answer to one simple question–What is God saying? The Chronicles of the Seed will help you to truly understand that everything that life depends upon came from God. The very existence of man is based on God. God is the giver of life and that life is in the seed.

God gives seed to the sower. God said from the beginning to man be fruitful, multiply, replenish, and subdue... take over if you will! From that understanding comes the thought that the big is in the little. In order to do great things and take over, one must first receive seed, the smallest of particles. Further, scripture that was written over 3000 years ago says, do not despise small things-beginnings.

Revelation never comes in its mature state. But it must get in your heart (seed concept) and grow. This is a holy thing that will cause change to take place in you. Then you must go through the process of nurturing what you have received from God in your heart/spirit, if you are to have a harvest that will impact your destiny and the world around you.

This book will encourage you to see from God’s perspective that everything begins with a seed. God has given you seed. He wants you to be productive and he has given you what you need to guarantee your success. As you read this book, allow the Holy spirit to bring clarity and understanding regarding the seed concept. Once you receive of this fresh revelation, your life will never be the same. You will begin to think differently, your expectations will heighten, and the desired results will manifest before your eyes.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

My deepest thanks and appreciation to my wife, Patricia, who has been my constant companion and greatest encouragement. Her suggestion to make the book priority was the key that opened the door to make it a reality.

Thanks to Pastors Al and Didrea Moore and the Westgate Church congregation who supported me, and many traveled with me on several mission trips. And after sharing many of the principles with the congregation, they encouraged me to write the book.

Thanks to Pastor Ernest Morris and The Church of the Burning Fire congregation who have also been a constant support to my mission ventures and the writing of this book. They also traveled with me on several mission trips and were recipients of the early development of some of the principles presented in the book.

Thanks to Erroll and Lolita Chesterfield who have supported not only the ministry but have been constant support and encouragement to Patricia and me, my daughter and my 2 sons, in many ways.

    Finally, a special
