Finding Purpose as a Woman
()
About this ebook
If every woman can discover the purpose of God for her existence then the world will be a better place. My Father in the LORD once said You are blessed for a purpose; you are empowered for a purpose, you are endowed for a purpose and talented for a purpose. In order for you to become a vessel unto honour and ultimately fit for the Masters use, you must find you purpose and walk in it.

FOREWORD
‘‘Finding Purpose as a Woman’’ is a great and powerful book that has come at a wonderful time in the body of Christ. Pastor Florence Akanmu has done a beautiful work in her maiden book.
Purpose is one of the most powerful weapons to overcome all life’s challenges and adversities. In fact, most of the difficulties we go through pale into insignificance and take new meaning under the powerful strength of purpose.
Finding purpose as a woman will equip every woman (and everyone for that matter) with courage (the right response of facing and dealing with anything as dangerous, difficult and painful, instead of withdrawing from it). You will become more daring even when you are conscious or apprehensive of danger you will be equipped to encounter it.
Pastor Florence has drawn powerfully from both the Bible, practical examples and her personal experience to authenciate the words of John O. Rocke Rockefeller, Jr : ‘’Singleness of Purpose is one of the chief essentials for success in life, no matter what may be one’s aim’’. Every successful person has been empowered with a sense of purpose and destiny. Jesus, on the end of his brutal and painful death on the cross could say: ‘’For this purpose, I was born’’. Paul in the face of horrendous persecution and unfathomable sufferings could boldly declare: ‘’None of these things move me …so that I might finish my course with joy’’ (Acts 20:24). Some women were tortured but refused to be released. They were sure they would gain a better reward when the dead are raised to life’’ Heb 11:35 (Contemporary English Version)
Finding purpose as a woman will liberate the women folk today. Many precious daughters of the Most High turned their life challenges to their idols. Its what they worship, focus on and exert all their energy, time and prayer. They are looking for an letopian situation when their lives will be devoid of any problems. Many of these ladies of destiny have turned their back on God because they have not discovered the power of his purpose for their lives. Florence’s book will be a source of solution, encouragement and inspiration for such darling souls.
It is utterly unfathomable to the mind and revolutions what great revival and revolutions we will begin to experience in all spectrum of life- family, relationships, ministries, churches, business and in all field of human endeavours if the truths in this book are grasped and applied. Florence has done a great job for the Body of Christ and humanity as a whole.
In his book, SUCCESSFUL ACHEIVEMENT, Sidney Bremer has this to say: life means nothing without purpose. One his life aim is gone, man simply exists- he does not really live. A high ideal, a lofty purpose, a noble aim, whatever tends to make man look up and struggle up, tends to improve his health condition and prolong the life. The soul that aspires other things being equal, has the longest life. Aspiration is a perpetual tonic, it stimulates all the faculties.
In the light of the above and the powerful inspirational gems in the book, I highly recommend this book to every woman (and man too) who is serious about maximising their impact and potentials in life. I also implore every reader to take a closer look at life and ask: ‘’Have I discovered my purpose for living?’’ If the answer is yes, then go for it, pursue with all you have and if the answer is no, then, take time to seek and pursue it till you can say with Archimedes: ‘Eureka’’ !!!
PREFACE
This book was inspired by two things, the first being my own experience and how the Holy Spirit mentored me through my challenges and secondly through 22years of counseling women facing challenges in their marriage. The desire became intense when I became a Pastor’s wife and through the grace of God in the course of mentoring other women, you listen to their complaints and frustrations.
My passion had always been for women because if we get our priorities right we will not endure but enjoy our marriage, I realised that every other thing is anchored on discovering God’s purpose for one’s marriages; the way it works is, it helps you to focus on what God expects of you in your marriage rather than your own expectation from your husband. The joy of it is that as your obedience is complete, He readily revenges all the disobedience to the divine order in your life which includes your home.
May you be richly blessed as you embark on this journey to great discovery and as you do so may divine order be ushered into your home in Jesus name. Amen
