The Covenant Letters - TC Spellen

    DAY 1

    I Am Love

...God is love (1 John 4:8)

    Hey Love:

In search of genuine love, are you? Well open your eyes and look no further, for I am standing right before you in all of My splendor.

My chosen one, I have been here all this time but you have not noticed Me. Love created you in your mother’s womb and love found you when you were lost in the world. Love brings you home every night and shelters you while you sleep. Love blesses you and corrects you when needed. I am Love.

I am the more excellent way to live. Fear, hatred, jealousy, abuse (mental, emotional, physical and financial) all have an expiration date – but love will last throughout eternity. Negative emotions and actions are the antithesis of who I am and cause division, strife, competition and war. Too much of this already exists within governments, churches, homes, businesses and schools. It is mostly because I can no longer be found in many of these places. There are many self-seeking agendas and I am not wanted, though very much needed. I am overjoyed however, knowing that you want Me in your life and have been looking for Me.

I am patient and kind. I do not envy or boast; I am not proud. I am not rude nor am I self-seeking; I am not easily angered and I do not keep a record of your wrong-doings. I do not delight in evil, but rejoice with the truth. I always protect, trust, hope and persevere. I my love, never fail. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

    Your Divine Husband.

    Woman to Woman:

Some of us grew up in households where true love was not demonstrated around the clock. No wonder some of us do not recognize real love when it’s up close and personal and no wonder some of us constantly attract the wrong people into our lives. Getting to know God deeply is the solution to these common issues. Looking for love? My advice is to intentionally seek the Lord and get acquainted with His undying love.

    Reflect and Journal:

    1. Define love in your own words. Was this type of love shown in your household growing up? If so, how has it influenced your past and current relationships (with friends and in dating)? If not, why have you adopted this definition of love?

    2. In what way or ways does 1Corinthians 13:5-8, challenge or reshape your definition of love?

    3. Do you believe God has been standing before you, yet you haven’t noticed Him? Why or why not? Who or what is blocking your view?

    DAY 2

    I Made a Sacrifice

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

    Hey Love:

Have I told you lately how much I love and adore you? No?

I love you so much that I made the ultimate sacrifice for you. I ransomed My son Jesus, so that the entire world – including you, would be free of sin.

Before I created you, I desired you. I wanted so badly for you to have direct access to Me so that we could enjoy continual fellowship with one another, but the world was corrupt. Many men, women and children went astray and My Son’s death was the only way to abolish sin and bring order to the world. Pure (un-sinful) blood had to be spilled; someone had to die and therefore, I chose My son as the last sacrificial lamb.

There was a time when the Levite Priests were required to enter the Holy of Holies of the temple on an annual basis. Their purpose was to atone themselves and the community so that My spirit could dwell with all. Please note; they didn’t show up empty-handed, but with a goat or bull for a sin offering. They also needed ashes from a heifer for a purification offering. In other words, a living thing needed to shed blood until it died so that I could forgive and cleanse My people.

I put an end to that annual ritual. My Son’s blood and death covered the sins of the entire world permanently. His physical death tore the veil separating the Holy of Holies from other parts of the temple; and now My dear, you are the temple in which My Holy Spirit dwells. We have access to one another all day, every day; including your birthday, Valentine’s Day and all major holidays. Moving forward – nothing except your own personal, un-confessed sins can disconnect
