About this ebook

In 1 Samuel 15:22 (KJV), "Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams."How do we obtain the reward that God has for us? Reaping the Reward of Obedience explores what it means to walk in obedience. The only way we can expect a great harvest of blessings is by sowing seeds of obedience, and Reaping the Reward of Obedience shows us through Scripture how to do just that. As we read this book, we will discover that the principle of obeying God is not a mystery, but the key that unlocks the many blessings He has in store for us.Beloved, I wish above all things that you mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.--3 John 2 (KJV)1

    About the Author

Iwant to dedicate this book to my daddy, Elder Leon Wright Sr., who left his earthly home to be with God in 2015. I will always be grateful for the thirty-nine years that I had with you. I never had to wonder where you were because you always went to work, church, and came home. You were there until you transitioned from earth to glory. Thank you for pushing me to do better. Thank you for believing in me. I still remember the day you gave me a typing book and told me to learn how to type. I didn't understand what you were doing at the time, but I know now that you were investing in my future. Even before I could figure out what I wanted to do with my life, you knew I had a head for business. And though I took many twists and turns, detours and breaks, I did eventually go all the way to get my master's degree in business administration. And boy, did those typing lessons come in handy. So, Daddy, thank you for everything. Thank you for everything you taught me. None of your preaching and teaching was in vain. I love you.

    Acknowledgments

To my heavenly Father, the one I often refer to affectionately as Dad, thank you for entrusting me with this book. There is no way I could have written it without Your divine inspiration. All the glory belongs to You and only You. Thank you for Your Holy Ghost, who guides me every day.

And to you, Mama. Thank you for your encouragement and guidance. You and Daddy raised us according to godly principles. You never stopped telling us what was right, even when we became adults. And you always reminded us that God had put something in all six of us. You've always told us that we were gifted children. You believed in us when we didn't believe in ourselves. And for this, I will be eternally grateful. Thanks to you and Daddy for being godly examples.

To my beautiful sister in Christ, Cassandra Graves, affectionately known as Sis, thank you for being a listening ear and, many times, a shoulder to cry on. And thank you for the many words of encouragement. I remember the day you asked me if I had started writing the book yet, and I said I hadn't but that I would know when it was time to start writing. But I knew God was using you to confirm what He had put in my spirit months before. I really want to thank you for holding me accountable. You never shied away from telling me the truth when it was necessary, and I really appreciate you for that. You have always been a wonderful friend, and I'm blessed to know you. Thank you, and I love you.

    Introduction

Idon't know anyone who doesn't want to be blessed. I know I want everything that God has for me. But there are many who don't know how to access the promises of God for themselves. Every child of God should want to receive the blessings He has in store for them.

We are a royal priesthood, children of the King, and this title that's been bestowed upon all of us as believers afford us many privileges that a commoner or unbeliever is not able to receive. This is our identity, but we often live beneath the privileges that come with the title because we're not walking in the fullness of the Word of God.

We rejoice when we read about the promises of God or hear the testimonies of many of
