Hear God

One of the most important things in Christian life is the ability to hear from God. Hearing from God eliminates any form of guesswork and prevents people from landing in things that God did not even ask them to do. Make sure that what you are doing is what God asked you to do. Otherwise, you will not have the grace to do it. There is a peace and an ease when we are in God’s will. We will have peace, and we will be happy doing it from our heart. If we want to be great, the first thing is to hear what God is saying to us. What is He telling us to do?

A lady once told me that she never did anything without inquiring of the Lord. She literally would not do a thing until she knew it was God’s will. I found her radical at the time, but as I became more mature in the things of God, I realized how wise that was.

Why do something if God is not involved? It surely will not work. We should be patient enough to seek God before we jump into anything. Have quiet time—that should be the second most important time in your day. After prayer, have quiet time. Think, and allow the Spirit of God to invade your thoughts. Listen to Him download ideas to you. Listen to Him giving you strategies—divine strategies—on how to survive. He put you in this world, and He is the only one who will show you how to survive.
