We are living in very decisive times where the human being is simply betting their lives in eternity in an alarming way. It is necessary that we pause to question ourselves, what is happening to us? If we go back to see our history, we see that we have only had around twenty-five to thirty years of peace. It seems to be that we have always been at war: at war between countries, at war with ethics, at war between social classes, at war with gangs, at war between families, and even at war with ourselves. There is a point where you find yourself arguing with your own self and hate is growing all around us and we ask ourselves what is going on with humanity? Who could have the answer to this question? Is there someone that will end the enmity?  I believe all these questions deserve a reasonable answer so we can unmask the one who is to blame.

Introduction

Who controls your life?

This is a question that deserves a good answer and analysis; and, of course, a lot of humility on our part since it is not easy to recognize that someone else controls our life. Human history is barely six thousand years but most of it has been of war not of peace. War is a main characteristic of our past and present history. What the world has experienced and continues to experience has not been easy. The history written in books and filmed in movies seems to show the lack of value given to human life.

Even today we see people’s lives being terminated so easily that the question arises around the world: Why so much evil? This question is not only emerging in family gatherings, it also resonates in the halls of schools and universities around the world. Why are people so evil? Where does all this evil come from? People do not feel safe even in their own homes.

Isn’t it time to define the dividing line between good and evil?

We must stand firm and help our society recognize what is threatening the human species’ survival. We must unmask the one who has caused the wars and all the evil in our society.

Optimal creation of God

Human life is something very valuable and precious. As the optimal creation of God, we are special in His eyes; Satan understands it, even if we do not. He fully understands that there is nothing on planet Earth more valuable and sacred than the human being who was created in the image and likeness of God.

Most of us have killed flies, mosquitoes, spiders, and all kinds of insects that may bother us or cause us harm. We do not think about it when acting against them. We have also sat at the table with family or friends to eat delicious dishes that consist of some kind of meat from animals, and we comment with great pleasure about how delicious the food was. And that is a normal part of our daily life. But if we were to cause harm or the death of another person—even if we were living through the worst days or our lives or facing the most difficult times, when life seems worthless—guilt and pain would haunt us for the rest of our lives. For most, it would be almost impossible to bear.

What’s in human life that is so incredibly precious? What makes humans so valuable and different from any other created being? Why do doctors, behavioral professionals and common people spend great fortunes on devices to ease pain, and in research to learn how to heal a sick person both physically and emotionally? Why do people spend millions of dollars to find a cure for some terminal disease affecting a family member? Isn’t that something that should catch our attention? Why are we considered different from any other created thing in the universe? All this comes down to the fact that we have been created in the image and likeness of God.

Do I have to mention the devil or Satan? I think it is necessary even if many find it strange or weird, but when you read this book you will understand why I bring him up. Man’s eternal life is at stake but most people do not realize it. We are surrounded by a society whose basis for life is its own selfish pleasure which is leading them to destruction just like it happened to Lucifer also called Satan. When the focus of our life is our own pleasure, not taking God into account, horrendous things begin to happen.

Lucifer—the devil—was in a place of perfect peace, based on obedience and love. He was operating at the top of his purpose; it was a beautiful place. The prophet of God said that he was perfect from the day he was created until evil (sin) was found in him. That day, Lucifer’s outer beauty was corrupted by what happened inside. Corruption and sin inside a person always leads to problems and trials outside. Something that began in beauty and splendor was transformed into ugliness and darkness and all the horrendous things we see in Satan today.

Why did this happen? Because Lucifer allowed sin to enter his heart and sin completely distorted what God had created. Sin turns a beautiful marriage into a hellish one. Sin transforms a lovely and wonderful young life into a horrifying and depraved existence. Sin makes a safe and handsome neighborhood into a dreadful zone full of drug addicts and murderers. Sin changes everything attractive into something vile and worthless. Sin has come upon the human race with a single purpose: to foster a state of war in our homes and neighborhoods, in our cities and states, in our nations and the whole world. War is the absence of real peace. And war continues on and on, because sin takes the place of peace.

What happens when a conflict between nations is taking place? There are bombings and destruction on both sides of the conflict. We can see it clearly in the news regarding the civil war in Syria and other places. The result of chemical attacks upon men, women and children is dreadful and deadly. Only calamity and terror is the air breathed in when a war between peoples or nations take place.

The psychological effect of sin in today’s society is very similar. We can see the deep wounds and destruction left in our marriages, our children, our neighborhoods, on the street corners, in restaurants and everywhere we go. Sin has destroyed the minds and hearts of women, children, men, young girls, and some people seem to be dead like zombies. These terrible wars began with Cain, the second son of Adam.

The most important thing I want to show is that sin, which has caused everything horrendous, has been defeated and taken out of the way for everyone who believes in the glorious sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. This means that there is hope for humanity and is available to everyone. God longs for His creation to be close to Him. His desire and will is to give them His perfect love, His blessings, and eternal life in heaven.

But first, sin must be defined so that it can be identified and make us realize that we are trapped in its network, so we can be made free. My commitment, via this book, is to guide you regarding sin and salvation, so that you discover whether you are being controlled by something you may not even realize.

Chapter 1

Sin is my name

For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. (Romans 7:11, KJV)

Believe it or not, I have come to conquer the whole world and take possession of it; I was born in a never before known way, however I live in each person and put my influence on each human being in a thousand ways. Everyone sees it but no one acknowledges that it is because of me that there is so much evil on earth. I make them blame each other. That way I keep the human race, created by the Eternal God, deceived. He is the God who knows everything. All creation, whether on this earth or out in the universe somewhere, was created by Him and for Him.

He is God forevermore; His power is infinite and unmatched. There is nothing that can be compared to Him or anything He does not know. He is the essence of love, justice and truth. He is holy and sublime and his attributes of omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence make Him matchless. He was, is and always will be. He is the one who gives life to humans yet, they do not recognize him as Lord, much less as King and Savior. Although they speak as though they believe in Him, their deeds betray them. They have not understood that my master and I have obscured their understanding; consequently, they do not recognize Him nor give significance to the Bible, the book He inspired through His Holy Spirit so that mankind may learn of Him.

God’s desire is that every man and woman knows Him and miss the eternal destruction and condemnation the Bible declares, while my desire, and that of my master, is that no one knows Him and are eternally damned and tormented in hell. Many do not believe that hell even exists because I have veiled their eyes with my tricks; however, hell is more real than their own lives. Ha, ha, ha! They cannot imagine the horrors and unparalleled torments of that place.

Each day a great number of unhappy people end in that horrible place for not believing the Bible, the Word of their Creator. That is my job and that of my master, to ensure you end up in hell. And in case you still doubt me, I will reveal my name to you: my name is sin! Even if you don’t believe it, that’s the truth.

There is no science or academic discipline that can refute this truth but actually verifies and ratifies it. Additionally, the conscience that the Creator put in the soul of man confirms it as well, even though I have endeavored mightily to kill it. I have hardened and darkened the conscience of millions throughout the ages but it is still alive and it still warns you about these truths. Because of this, I redouble my efforts to confuse humanity so it ignores its call.

Sin (my story)

Although I already introduced myself and revealed to you who I am and what I do with what I call the beautiful city of the human soul, now I want to talk to you about my birth and how I make it impossible for the Creator to reign in the human soul by keeping men in darkness and on its way to damnation in hell. I have to unmask myself and warn the world even if I don’t want to because it is the will of the Eternal. I have to obey because everything that exists is subject to Him. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him (Colossians 1:16, KJV). Absolutely everything is subjected to Him. He is God and there is no other outside Him.

It all started when my master, Lucifer, was created in the third heaven. He was there as the most beautiful of all the precious stones and walked in the presence of God. When he walked music emanated from his apparel. Everything was so beautiful in that place that there was no need for sunlight. God Himself was the light in that beautiful place called Third Heaven where the streets are of gold and the walls of its buildings and houses are of jasper and precious stones. There can be no evil in heaven because God is anti-evil. Where God is, and where his radiance reaches, evil is eliminated. His Holiness removes all signs of evil caused by me. But let’s keep talking about my birth.

There, in the third heaven, where Lucifer was free to decide for himself what to do with his feelings of greatness was where I was born. It was that freedom or free will that Lucifer possessed that gave me life. It was through those feelings of greatness and pride my master felt which spawned me. Pride is one of my favorite weapons; it is the one I used to convince him to rebel against his Creator. That was my beginning in the history of the universe and the world. In that beautiful place, I corrupted Lucifer and a third of the angelic warriors. And from heaven we were cast down to the earth and took possession of it.

At least that’s what we had thought. God brought to this world a new race to whom my master intended to steal, kill and destroy in some way, because of the great anger in his heart. My master was angry at being expelled from that beautiful place where we were created. He does not think that exalting himself and believing that he is equal to God is impossible. He thinks he is a god. That can never happen, because God is God, and no one can match him. This truth exceeds our understanding because we are finite and limited in knowledge. I know it but Lucifer has such a deep-rooted blindness that he still thinks he will take God’s place.

Lucifer already appeared at the heavenly court and was judged. There he received the sentence of eternal damnation in the lake of fire; however, he remains convinced that by deceiving man, stealing his blessings, destroying his integrity, and killing him to take him to hell, he can take revenge for what God supposedly did to him by running him out of His presence.

As soon as God created the first human couple, Adam and Eve, Satan executed his plan of attack to steal what God had given them: this world and the authority over it. Men and its offspring was the target of his great hatred against the Creator. His plan accomplished its mission in spades. We succeeded in deceiving Eve with subtleties, and then Adam: so they bequeathed this world and the authority the Father had delegated to them to Satan. Lucifer, the snake, was sore against the creation and deceived men because he could do nothing against God. His power was reduced and in a very low condition when he was thrown out of the divine presence. It was here that I entered on scene, in the movie of this world, first in Satan’s heart and now against humanity to dominate it.

It was through Eve I was able to introduced myself, and then, Adam, bringing the greatest disgrace to humanity. Through sin, I engendered fear, guilt and shame. These three emotions were born when they disobeyed the Father. From there, I have worked unceasingly with every human being since Adam and every generation until today, and have converted them into thousands of distorted feelings that have completely confused the beautiful city of the human soul. So much so that the doctors and students of human behavior have no idea what to do or think. These men and women can’t diagnose whether it is one thing or another and are totally confused. Ha, ha, ha!

I put together a team of many ruffians to keep humanity’s beautiful city of the human soul captive which my master desires to destroy and the Father and Lord of Heaven so loves. Among my most effective comrades you’ll find pride, greed, avarice, curse, resentment, hatred, and unforgiveness. With these, not only do I keep their souls captive within themselves, but also keep the Father’s forgiveness from reaching them. The feeling of unforgiveness is very powerful. And I have caused many bad consequences from the sin itself. For instance, being oppressed is not sin (only a consequence) but the ire that may produce against another
