We Are America

About this ebook
While taking a class called "An Introduction to Human Services," I realized the course did not address the biracial section of American society. On researching this topic, I found very little. Using my own life experience, I wrote this book to challenge today's people to consider how biracial persons fit into the American public. My hope is that by sharing my journey, others will develop a better understanding of what it is like to be biracial in this country today.

Seeing Out of Two Eyes
When you only look out of one eye, what do you see?
Hopefully everything in front of you.
When you look out of two eyes, you see everything around you,
not what is just in front of you.
The rush your brain gets by taking in all that is around you is
Amazing.
To be able to hold onto more than one concept a at time is
Incredible.
Being of more than one race is like that.
You are able to view a bigger picture.
Is that not the result of us two beings wrapped up
into one being?
What has been created is beautiful biracial children
ready to serve.
We must all come together in order to
reach total enlightenment.
We see the world through two cultural perspectives.
The same Love and Passion that created us
should make you want to listen and
to acknowledge our point of view.

Introduction
I have written this book so you may see another point of view on life’s struggles. For most of our lives, biracial persons have had to adapt and adjust in order to survive the situation into which we are born. Everyone goes through struggles, but we are born into two parallel societies. Our persona is divided at birth. We are different, and when we try to identify ourselves as biracial, we are shut
