I write this for the many people like myself who at one time or another has felt that there is something in this world I'm supposed to do. But what that something was at the time, I had no idea.

It is my hope that this book would lift the weight of unknowing and the fear I've carried for many years and encourage others who feel or have felt similar to move forward in the things of God.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind with the understanding that there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear has torment and because this world waits in expectation for what God has given us to bring forth.

Isn't it amazing when you realize God has given you the ability to do something you never dreamt of doing, let alone having the mentality of the subject matter in which it's done and that which was once unknown soon becomes your passion?

Truly there is no other way to explain what God is doing in these last days except to say He chooses whom He pleases after the counsel of His own will, unrelated to how we or others may see us.

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, come and rest upon us like the day of Pentecost as cloven tongues of fire, and fill us with Your divine presence, and show us the way of holiness.

That we may worship our God in spirit and truth and remind us of His thoughts toward us that His thoughts may become our thirst.

Lotion of Praise

After the stars no longer dance in the moonlight and the darkness makes way for the morning, and before the sky opens her eyes, we love to praise Him to show forth His faithfulness at night and His loving-kindness in the morning by putting on our lotion of praise.

We arise to lift up our eyes to the hills from which comes our help, for our help comes from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth and the fullness thereof.

We humble ourselves before Him, making our prayers and requests known with praise and thanksgiving, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs from our hearts to the Lord before the dawning of the new day breaks with the light of His glory.

The Man

To the only wise God, our Savior, whose glory covers the heavens and the earth, we stand in awe of You with our hands lifted in total adoration and obedience to Your will.

Giving ourselves to Your righteous cause, as we offer up the sacrifice of praise continually. For in our search to find You, You enabled us to seek You through Your Word out of a pure heart of diligence.

That we may know there is one God and one mediator between God and men—the Man, Christ Jesus—and how the few shall be the voice that leads many to salvation through Him.

Today I Rise

Today is a new day, and today I rise.

Yesterday is gone, and my tears have all dried.

Now I stand as one who has survived.

Every now and then I feel weak, and my body is tired, and while I wait for my strength to return, I rise.

I hear the children’s laughter, and they say come and play, yet again, I rise.

Tomorrow is a new day, and the sun will rise, and if I see not the new day’s sun, let this be of no surprise, for yet again I rise.

Whispering Breeze

As I search through the skies for You, I close my eyes to see You.

I then felt Your whispering breeze of love blowing across my heart.

As I listen to the breeze, telling me that You will come to me with the rain, bring with it a new heart and a new spirit, and a fresh anointing for what lies ahead.

I then heard the trees as they started to sway back and forth, joining in with the whispering breeze, making a glorious sound with their leaves.

A gentle rain began to fall, cleansing me from all unrighteousness bringing with it a new heart, a new spirit, and a fresh anointing.

Mighty Men of Valor

We are mighty men of valor, born not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man but of God for we have received and believed with our heart the Word of God, which says as many as received Him. As the scripture says to them, He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe on His name.

Wherefore, we take upon ourselves the whole armor of God that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. We stand ready as mighty men of valor to endure hardness as good soldiers of Jesus Christ.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit that we be not conformed to this world but are transformed by the renewing of our mind and that we may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began for such a time as this.

That we, as mighty men of valor, may stand in power and in unity to do what is right for His name’s sake. Wearing our breastplate of righteousness, our helmet of salvation, our shield of faith, and our sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and our feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherein we shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked as we seek the immutability of His counsel for the battle or battles that lie ahead.

This Day

What other love could I ever love more and what other love could ever love me more than You? You are my sacred love, the one I place high above all others that You may forever be my one heart’s desire.

Throughout all the ages and stages of my life, You are the one I shall forever cherish as my consecrated love. Whether in sickness or in health, richer or poorer, in good times or in bad, I promise to love, honor, and adore Thee.

For on this day and forevermore, I wed myself to Thee that we may never part in this life or the next but forever be joined together as one. As You and the Father are one in holiness, righteousness, and truth.

Every smile I wear upon my face and every good and breathtaking thought I have of You are based upon our time spent together and the loving-kindness You have always shown toward me and all that You have revealed to me through Your passion and Your engrafted word, which has proven to be faithful and true.

You are the joy and the strength of my life—my life within my life and the peace and the very breath of my life—which has allowed me to endure challenging times, which are only made possible because of Your Spirit of holiness that dwells within me.

I know within my heart every good gift and every perfect gift and any measure of loving-kindness anyone has ever or will ever show toward me has come and will only come from You.

So on this day and forever more with wondrous thoughts of our new life together, I say yes and wed myself to Thee.

Be Ready

Sons and daughters of God, break loose from the devil’s chain that holds you bound and be ready when the Lord calls your name. Break free from your shackles of self-imprisonment from the presence of the Lord and be ready to be a blessing to someone the Lord may send your way.

For that day may soon come when He may ask you to pray
