Introduction
How many times in your life, whether good or bad, have you asked yourself, Why me, Lord?
Often, through the years, multiple blessings have occurred in my life, and they have made me stop and think how awesome God is and what I did to deserve these wonderful blessings. Our Heavenly Father is such a loving, kind, compassionate, forgiving, and merciful Father, and sometimes it is easy to take these glorious blessings and gifts for granted.
When adversity happens in our lives, we may become discouraged and we ask God, Why me, Lord?
Why are you allowing this to happen?
During these struggles, we have to remember this is a fallen world and bad things happen. When these adversities occur, you have to remember to draw closer to God. He is the one who will get you through it. I know that when the greatest tragedies of my life have occurred, I realized very quickly that God was all I had and all I needed.
You will find that God will often put people into your life to help you through those tough times, but sometimes they will only be there for that season of your life. God allows individuals into your life to assist you with maneuvering through those seasons. When those specific seasons are complete, God will sometimes remove those individuals from your life and leave you wondering why. God only allowed them to be there in your life for a specific purpose. God knows what you need and will provide.
Seasons come and seasons go throughout your life, and the one thing you have to remember is that your Heavenly Father is there in every season. The Holy Spirit is there to guide you, and Jesus intercedes on your behalf. God sends His angels to protect you from harm. You might ask, Well, if there were angels there to protect me, then why did I get hurt?
This is a fallen world, and we will all have some suffering in our lives. Even though adversities will happen in your life, God is there to provide protection. You will not know until the day you meet the Lord how many times He protected you and your loved ones from harm. Everyone has a purpose in this life, and once it is fulfilled, our Heavenly Father will call us home. Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes
(James 4:14 ESV). A person is only on this earth for a short time and needs to cherish that time and follow the path God has planned out to accomplish His purpose.
I believe that when you are born, God has a path set for you, but choices you make throughout your life will either keep you on that path or make you stray off it. There will be times when you stumble and fall off the path, but God is there to pick you up, dust you off, and put you back on the path if you allow. Always remember you have free will, so either you allow God into your life or you do not.
I am going to share my story with you and how God helped me through good times and bad, how He never abandoned me when many others who were supposed to love me did abandon me. He is my Abba, my protector, and the one that I can lean on. Hopefully, this book will help you lean on Him and rely on Him for all your needs. He loves unconditionally and only asks that we submit
