About this ebook

I went through the Bible and picked out verses relevant to the fruits of the spirit. This is a short but comforting and powerful book. I like to call it a highlight reel or a firework show of Bible verses. I learned the Bible talks about love and humility more than anything else. This book is also about coming back to God, and I hope it brings the assurance of salvation to many souls. May the angels and saints watch over all of us. God bless and thank you for reading my book, The Many Fruits of the Spirit.

    About the Author

    1

Satan uses deceit and trickery to try and make us turn our back on each other, our churches, our families, and our close friends. He never sleeps trying to cut off our connection to God through sin. That's what he did by making Eve eat the apple, which introduced sin to the world, which in turn cut off our communication with God.

God still speaks to us through people and through His Word; and He started working on bringing us back to salvation after original sin by sending His son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. The devil tries to make us sin so we feel guilty and feel like God doesn't love us, but God does love us, more than we can ever imagine, and He can forgive all our sins. Satan doesn't want us to follow God, who has the best plan for our lives and wants our salvation. Satan was a murderer from the beginning and the father of lies. He works to cause heartache, despair, and death everywhere. The devil is an accuser and is the master of deceit, making people feel hopeless and causing destruction, in a goal to take us away from God. Let's fight against Satan and trust God while fighting the good fight!

This book is to bring glory to God's name, for salvation, and just in general letting my light shine. Always praise him. If you read His Word and the many devotions out there, they will always remind you to praise God! Praise Him through the storms, the heartbreaks, and the joys of life.

Idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, quarrels, dissensions, sects, envies, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like. Of which I foretell you, as I have foretold to you, that they who do such things shall not obtain the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is, charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity, mildness, faith, modesty, continency, chastity. Against such there is no law. (Gal. 5:20–23 D-R)

Lord, you know none of us are perfect, but we need to keep trying! Never give up on God and He will never give up on you. Love love.

Think of the good things. Let love guide you. Do you know when someone gets mad at a situation and they leave, and then fifteen minutes later, they can't stop thinking about it and they call you, apologizing? Try to catch yourself and repent as soon as you can.

This book contains a lot of scripture. Please do not skip over it! Try to read it until you understand it before moving along. It will benefit you greatly in your understanding of God's word and His plan for your life. I have heard from a respected peer who worried about religious writings without any scripture. This book is the opposite of that. I call it a firework show of Bible verses. I've been told never to be sorry for quoting scripture. Now that I have a laptop to write this on instead of on paper, I have lots of stuff to add.

Proverbs says long-suffering brings about great wisdom. I hear voices, and they do persecute me for being a Christian. Each time I get a little stronger, and right now I'm feeling stronger than ever. I started taking vitamins too, and that could be contributing to my vitality. This book was brought to you at a price. I went through lots of persecutions writing it. My illness is like holding a glass of water, for a second it isn't heavy, but if you continue holding it for ten minutes, it gets heavier. After an hour, it's an unbearable weight! But I reach out, and people pray for me. Also, God never lets you go through anything you won't be able to handle. He always gives you a way out.

Good versus evil. Decisions. Every moment there is a constant battle for your soul and your neighbor's soul. I'm not the greatest writer, but I figured I would give this a shot. Writing is fun. Sooo thankful to God for this opportunity. In this battle for souls, the angels are watching out for us more than we know. We all have a guardian angel. If you haven't yet, give your soul to Mary so she can protect it. Remember, nothing is definite. It's about continual faith in Jesus. I'm currently taking classes to become Catholic. I was raised Baptist/nondenominational but have found joy and freedom in the Catholic Church. I say the rosary every day. It's a beautiful and powerful weapon against evil, constantly reminding us of what Jesus did for us and His glory. I also like the fact that there are daily masses, and the cathedrals are so beautiful. They have books like the Imitation of Christ that really drew me in. They have communion in every mass; and it is said that once we take communion, Jesus is there, and He lives in us. Confession is another one of my favorite things of being a Catholic. I was confirmed the Easter of 2021, and it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. The priest takes Jesus' place in the confessional booth, and it's nice to hear that your sins are absolved.

Christ is living in us and shines through us. As God grafts us in and out, we should also choose our friends wisely. When you witness to somebody, you can either keep them, like reeling in a fish, or let them go. I believe it's more effective to witness to young people. They are more easily swayed, and they have a longer life to live and more ahead of them. Start learning about God and scripture while you're young, and you'll be able to use its wisdom the rest of your life.

A good friend is worth more than silver or gold. The Holy Spirit is bringing this all together. Don't hate. Pray for your enemies and those that persecute you. Jesus said that if you only love those who love you, what is that to you? Pagans do the same. Love everyone, even those who hate you. By doing that, you will be setting an example for fellow believers and an image of what good Christians are like for nonbelievers. Like the Jews couldn't eat certain foods, we too must be careful about what we watch and who we are friends with. Jesus was friends with sinners and tax collectors. He even chose them to be His disciples. He came to free those who are under slavery of the law of sin to a law of love and forgiveness. He said to forgive seventy times seven, every day, which pretty much means always forgive. We are here to help the poor, so be good steward of your time and talents so you can help those in need. Nobody should be starving!

Be family oriented because more often than not, they will always be there for you. Make a list of the people you trust, and keep them close to you and in the loop. Family forever.

    C. S. Lewis said to quote what I know and nine times out of ten, it will end up being original. St. Therese of Lisieux, a great saint (If you haven't read her book Story of the Soul, you should read it two or three times. It is very uplifting and powerful. You can also read this book more than once too or at least highlight parts of it for later on.)—the voices are trying to make me forget what I'm saying…ah, yes, Saint Therese—said that we shouldn't worry so much about plagiarizing, just share what we got and to praise God. Like I said, this is my first book, and I'm finding out I need to get special permissions to quote different authors and the Bible. I feel like I'm climbing a large mountain, and that can only be done by taking one step at a time. Maybe God will grant me a guide to climb this mountain of writing a book. I've had to use an older version of the Bible called the Douay-Rheims Bible because I don't need permission to quote it and also the King James Version, which I don't also need permission to quote. It's been a long process, and I had this exactly how I wanted it, but I had to redo it. It's been worth it though, and the scripture in this book is very inspiring and enlightening.

Like Bill Winston said, they will keep you from reading the Bible anyway they can, and that could be reading religious books, but nothing should keep you from reading God's word. I believe reading the Bible and asking questions about it to respected peers is the most beneficial thing you can do. But please read on. There's lots of scripture in this book!

I was writing this in the mental hospital. I haven't seen my son for eighteen months. Just today I got news that he is coming for a visit. Just as I want what's best for him, God wants what's best for us. Always convince your kids to tell you about their day. It will help you grow as a family.

    Love:

If I speak with tongues of men, and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal, and if I should have prophecy and should know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. Charity is patient, is kind: charity envieth not dealeth not perversely; is not puffed up; is not ambitious, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth with the truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never falleth away: whether prophecies shall be made void, or tongues shall cease, or knowledge shall be destroyed. For we know in part, and we prophecy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But, when I became a man, I put away the things of a child. We see now through a glass in a dark manner; but then face to face. Now I know I part; but then I shall know even as I am known. And now there remain faith, hope, and charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity. (Cor. 13:1–13 D-R)

I believe charity here also means love. We are nothing without love. Love is not getting mad when someone is rude to you. Love is praying for people. Love reaches out to people and asks them about their day. You could have all the money and knowledge in the world, but without love, you are nothing. All I need is God in my life, and then I am happy.

Love is happy for people's successes instead of jealous. Love is being humble and loving. Love is slow to speak and quick to listen. Love punishes when we are wrong, for our own good. Love is wanting to help people anyway we can. Love never quits. Love carries on through the good and the bad. Have a childlike love, and trust in your heavenly Father like a child trusts their parents. Love wins.

Once you are baptized, I have heard that you have the gift of speaking in tongues. If you speak in tongues, it is so sublime that you cannot understand it, but you are speaking directly to God and He understands. When you speak in tongues, someone in heaven will intercede for you. We are nothing without love.

Follow after charity, be zealous for spiritual gifts; but rather that you may prophecy. (1 Cor. 14:1 D-R)

So that means to long and strive for love. The only way to get love is to give love. Everyone loves a giver of gifts. Treat others as you would want them to treat you. Give love, get love.

It was about a year ago I became a prophet. Jesus kept telling me, Ask for anything you want, and I will grant it to you. I asked for this and that, to no avail. Then I asked Jesus to make me a prophet. I was taken right into the scriptures, and it said, We're making you a prophet, you are blessed because you listen to God's word. Since then I have been called an oracle of the Lord maybe twenty times in scripture. I pray to the Lord Jesus, our messiah, to keep me humble. I don't believe I am bragging by calling myself a prophet, merely stating a fact. I am more a prophet for judging the nations than predicting the future however.

We need to turn to the Lord through church, family, friends, scripture, and religious books. Make friends with fellow believers to talk to and pray with and for and to share your joys and successes as well as your burdens and hardships. Writing is so much fun. I hope to help you so you can help other people. Teach someone and tell them to teach someone else one type of thing. The circle just goes on and on until the world is enwrapped with love and the many fruits of the spirit.

We should strive our whole lives to become the best version of ourselves and do the next right thing to help the church and seek God's glory.

    Purity is important.
