About this ebook

There is a fire in the house! The fire is in the heart of the wife who read Extraordinary Love and took heed of the principles written therein. She was tired of smelling the stench of her decaying marriage and accessed the solution she so desperately needed. The extraordinary love of God for humanity made the solution available when Jesus Christ was nailed to a cross on a hill called Calvary. His precious blood is the healing stream that can flow to every heart and heal every kind of disorder. God is inviting disenchanted wives to seek him for the solution to whatever is the ailment in the marriage.

Deborah Taylor was capable of writing Extraordinary Love, first of all, because God gave her the assignment. Secondly, God blessed her to sit at the feet of an anointed pastor who conducted extensive biblical teachings on marriage. That was where Ms. Taylor acquired valuable knowledge and gained a clear understanding of what God requires of a husband and wife. Thirdly, before Ms. Taylor became a Christian, she was engaged in a romantic relationship which carried her to depths of love never known or imagined. The love was a raging fire in her heart, which gave her insight into the remarkable sweetness and beauty of love between a man and a woman.

Throughout the book, the extraordinary love of God for mankind is continually demonstrated. However, the primary focus is on instructing wives how to apply God's wisdom to their marriages. God longs for them to become aware of the fact that he is an All Consuming Fire who can burn up the rubbish in the marriage, and set the marriage ablaze with the most awesome, extraordinary love that will rage so sweetly deep in their hearts.

    Introduction

Romans 8:28 (KJV) reads, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. I love God, and I am called according to his purpose. However, I have not always been a child of God and have not always allowed his purposes to be fulfilled in my life. As a sinner, I committed disgraceful acts against God, but fortunately, I repented of my sins and Jesus Christ forgave, cleansed, and delivered me.

God instructed me to write this book to inform wives that they can have extraordinary romantic love in their marriages. My finite mind thought he should have used a married woman who is experiencing this kind of love in her marriage to write the book. My extraordinary love experience was with Nick, husband of Mrs. Nick. However, I did receive valuable instruction on God’s view of marriage when I attended a Pentecostal church after rededicating my life to the Lord. God works in mysterious ways, so if marriages are blessed as a result of this book, then God will have taken the evil I committed and worked it together for good. I believe God will use this book to bless women and their marriages as they trust God and apply these principles to their lives. Some may think the principles are outdated or unrealistic, but give them a try and see what God will do.

In the Garden of Eden, God filled Adam and Eve with extraordinary romantic love. When I was a teenager, God gave me a revelation of the love Eve shared with Adam. I had a dream that I was watching Adam and Eve as they were standing at the rear of the church I attended. For a moment, I became Eve and could feel the love in her heart for Adam. When I awoke, I was upset because I was not ready to leave that place. I wanted to continue to be captivated by the awesomeness of that love. That love was saturated with the beauty and sweetness of the Rose of Sharon; it felt as if it was infused with strength by the Almighty God as it was unbreakable, unshakeable, unconditional, and everlasting; and it was so perfectly pure, until I was sure it must have been flowing directly from the heart of God. That love was exuberant with joy and excitement that must have been similar to the joy and excitement that was the Lamb of God’s on resurrection morning, and it was complete because Adam and Eve were one with God and one with each other.

When God established the institution of marriage in the Garden of Eden, he established his divine purposes for the lives and marriage of Adam and Eve. God still has a divine purpose for marriage and is inviting you to participate in his feast of love and his divine purpose for your marriage. Isaiah 55:11 (KJV) reads, So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. God is sending this word to you. Allow it to prosper in the depths of your heart so that you can be full of the joy of the Lord when he accomplishes his will in your life and marriage.

    Chapter 1

    Love

A glorious sunrise is truly a wonder to behold. Its golden rays lighten the darkness, warm the earth with radiant heat, and bring new hope for a brand-new day. So is love. Love is an intense feeling of deep affection or fondness for a person or thing. When this intense feeling of deep affection arises, it brings warmth and light to the heart and joy and excitement to the one in love.

God is love; therefore, a discussion on love must begin with God the Father who gave his Son to die for the sins of the world. John 3:16 (KJV) reads, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ, the beloved Son of God, must also be included in the discussion because he voluntarily gave his life to suffer and die for mankind’s sins. In John 10:17–18 (KJV), Jesus states:

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

What magnificent manifestations of extraordinary love. This demonstrates that love is all about giving.

The second chapter of Genesis reveals another time when God’s love compelled him to give. Verses 18, 21, and 22 (KJV) read:

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

Just as God made Eve for Adam, he still makes that special woman just for the right man. God presented Eve to Adam as a gift; thus, you are a gift from God to your husband. Proverbs 18:22a (TPT) records, When a man finds a wife, he has found a treasure! For she is the gift of God to bring him joy and pleasure. As a wife, you are a valuable treasure, more precious than silver or gold, because you are a concentration of wealth to your mate. You are his gift, help, friend, confidant, comforter, doctor and nurse, supporter, housekeeper, lover, the mother of his children, the mender of his socks, the mender of his heart, and so much more. What awesome roles God has given to wives.

Our Heavenly Father was aware of the Help Needed sign that was in the heart of man, and for that reason, he presented man with the woman. God sent you to fill this position with your husband, and he is depending on you to work diligently to foster your spouse’s success. As his helper, it is your assignment to assist him in navigating through this life successfully. Remember that true success in this life is not the accumulation of material wealth, but true success is having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, living according to his Word, and qualifying to live with him when this life is over. Your task, then, is to assist him to do the
