New Christian Believer's Guide: Rooted and Grounded in Love, #1
()
About this ebook
Through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross, we have been made new (born again). This effectively means that the old is done away with as far as God is concerned. However, in the absence of proper discipleship that would allow the new believer to be established in the newness of life that God has given, the new believer will tend to view God through the veil of the old man and through glasses that have been stained by negative experiences and corrupted influences. As a result, a life which should be a joyful adventure becomes laborious with little joy, prayers become ineffective because of self-doubt, and, as a result, discouragement sets in. This is certainly not what our Loving Father has in store for his children.
My mission, in writing this book is to encourage and strengthen the new believer by presenting God the Father who loves them and show them how to walk in the Love of God where life becomes a glorious adventure. This book is like a selection of milk flavors and cultures that will help new believers to digest the "milk" of the Word so they can be rooted and grounded in the Love of God and be filled with God. Be blessed.

New Christian Believer's Guide - Edward Rathime
You are a new creation
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
In writing this book, I understand that we all grew up in different environments where the image of the father figure was shaped by our experiences.
You may have been raised by a godly father who is God fearing and stood in his place as priest in his home and modeled his life after Father-God. If this describes you, take some time and thank God for your blessing.
Maybe you were brought up by a father who is a good man, but not born again, and hence the word of God was not taught at home. He did his best, to provide and guide. If this describes your father, thank God for him, and, thank God that you have a positive image of who a father is.
You may have grown up in an abusive home, where the father-figure represented terror, and the words that proceeded from his mouth were often abusive. If this is true with you, thank God because you are going to experience a Father like no other, who loves you like no other. If you diligently study this book, study all the scriptures, commit them to your heart and put them to use, you will be surprised at how quickly your life will be transformed. Please, take a minute now, kneel and forgive your earthly father even as God forgave you. This will give the love of God license to freely operate in your life. God, your loving Father, will help you to forgive if you allow Him.
You may also not have had a father figure in your life for whatever reason. The good news is that you now have a Father who Loves you. The old is in the past, all things have been made new. You have a glorious future in Christ.
Embracing this newness of creation is important in overcoming and reversing generational patterns that do not align with the pattern that God has set for you in his promises. It will also help you to overcome sin, guilt bitterness and mental strongholds.
Prayer
Father in Jesus’ name, I thank you because through your redemption, I am a new creation and the old is passed according to 2nd Corinthians 5:17, and all things have been made new. Thank you because you don’t count any sin against me, now or in the future. I declare that I belong to you, I have been purchased by your blood. The past has no power over me. I therefore, choose to forgive all those who hurt me in the past. I forgive myself of all the wrong I did in the past, and, for the people I hurt in the past. Thank you because of your love. I allow your love to embrace me and to heal all the hurt of the past. I agree with you, I am precious, important, valuable and I have a future and a hope. You will never leave my side neither will you ever fail me. I refuse to hate myself. I love myself as you love me and I love others. I can’t change the past, but I have today and the many glorious days you have prepared for me. I choose to receive good from you and to do good to myself and others.
