The Domestic Violence Stories When The Abuse Never Ends - Driq Wright

This is two stories related to domestic violence, love, lies, and heartbreaks. We would like to delicate this book to our moms, families and situations that God put us in to teach us a lesson to make it our blessing, because without the teaching and the mistakes we makes, we wouldn’t learn and write about our experiences to share to the world. Physical, emotional, mental abuse is terrible and should nobody be in fear or scared of anyone. We as humans must stand up and fight for individuals who can’t fight or speak for themselves. Emotions take over and individuals snapped due to past trauma, childhood trauma, and loveless relationships. You have to pay attention to a person behavior, but still don’t nobody deserve to be mistreated in a relationship or marriage. We all deserve to be loved and treated right, but never hurt the one you love. We make mistakes, but if possible right your wrongs if its not too late.

Domestic Violence Story - when the child gets involved:

Written by Driq Wright and Soraya young

Background: before the virus shut down the world, there was a guy named Malik who was trying to manage to go to college and a job, but Malik needed transportation and money. So Malik had to choose to go to work and sadly put his bachelor's degree on hold. Malik had a waiter/cook job at a local restaurant, the pay rate was only pocket change and enough to help his mother with bills. Malik was learning how to give great customer service, take orders, cook, and how to prepare food. Malik was loving the experience and the education he was receiving at work. Back home, he was living with his mother to take care of her with so many health problems she has, but she still continues to work. Derrick  was living there as well, but Malik and his father never got along due to the bad treatment of his mother.  Derrick  was dealing with addictions to alcohol and gambling he couldn't control. Derrick  was an old stubborn and selfish man who abandoned his family many times for other individuals. He also battles addictions such as drinking hard liquor and gambling. Malik's mother Nellie is a hard working person who always tried to go by what the Bible says and have love for others.

Malik mom Nellie worked at a fast food establishment to provide her family, her son Malik worked at another fast food establishment working twelve hours shifts to help his mom keep up with the bills and household items Derrick  was retired, but never be at home with his wife on her off days. When Malik’s father Derrick do be at home, Malik on his off days will witness his father being mean towards his mother by calling her names and trying belittle her. Every time Nellie gets home from work her husband Derrick disrespect her and try to force her to do things Derrick hey you fat bitch, wow you look terrible as usual where the fuck is my food. Nellie what the hell are you on talking to me in that matter, Derrick your ass been here all day with full of food in the fridge and your stupid ass waiting on me to bring you some food go head on with that bullshit. Derrick started drinking crown royal before Nellie came in the house from work. With crown royal and gin in his system DERRICK who the fuck you talking too you ugly fat bitch, you better get your ass in the kitchen and cook me something right now. Nellie yelled at her husband while he was trying to force her to slave for in front of a hot stove by saying fuck no Derrick I am tired, we had a busy day and I need to rest my feet so leave me alone. Derrick walked up behind his wife while she was walking towards the bedroom and pushed her to the ground making her to bust her lip on the floor. Nellie forced herself up from the floor and punched Derrick in the face. The two started fighting until one of the neighbors hear the fighting and call the police. When the police arrived to the residence the fighting has stopped, but there blood coming from a cut by a glass on Nellie’s arm, a lot of scratches on the face of Derrick, and a lot of broken glass everywhere on the floor. The policeman was nice enough to not take both to jail. Malik had got a call from one of his neighbors that the police was at his house , so he rushed home to make sure his mother was okay.  Malik was furious with his parents actions and told his mother to go to her mom’s house to cool off and told his father Derrick to go to his sister house. Malik also asked the officers to let him not be matters worse and not take parents to jail. The officer agreed and told the couple not let it happen again or both going to jail. The officer left, Malik went into the house to clean up the broken glass and locked the doors before he went back to work. Meanwhile, Nellie mom listened to her daughter problems as she cried talking how fed up she was with Derrick. Nellie  crying to her mother I don’t know how long I can put up with this piece of crap of a man, he expects me to be his maid and do what he want me to do. Nellie continues to talk to her mother I’m starting to hate him and lately I been having evil thoughts in my mind to get rid of him.  Nellie’s mom Sandra baby never let anyone make you want to throw your life away, in order for you to leave you will need a plan and I want you to keep praying to God to deliver you from evil thoughts.  Nellie’s mom Sandra asked the question do you sill love him?. Nellie responded to her mom question not anymore, over the course of two years he changed and the more I try to talk to him seems like the worse he gets. I don’t want to have sex with him anymore it's not even like that between us. It’s my fault, because I was warned by some of his family members on how he treated his ex wife, I can’t believe how stupid and blinded I was to ignore his own people telling me he was no good. Nellie’s mom Sandra well baby this is a learning experience for you we all have to learn the hard way at time. Go in the room to get some rest and we will talk later baby I love you. Nellie responded to her mom OK mom, I love you too mom. Nellie went in the room to sleep in her old bedroom for a long time, meanwhile Malik went on break to call and check on his mother. Nellie doesn’t like to discuss or disrespect Malik father in front of him and on the phone, so she just played it off and said it was nothing we was just play wrestling and it was just a lot of glass on the floor from us playing to hard that’s all baby, me and your father Is fine. Malik didn’t believe the story, but he went along with it until he has proof. After the break was over with Malik worked for six more hours and went on home to get ready for the weekend.

    ––––––––

One weekend when Malik was scheduled to work the night shift, he was leaving and headed to work when suddenly he was walking sideways instead of straight and he was stumbling down the street. He decided to call off that night and make a doctor's appointment for the next day.  In three days a doctor was able to see him and she says he probably ate or drunk something unclean and he also needed some rest. Malik cried as he walked out of the Doctor's office, Malik felt his world crumbling and he lost hope due to him not being careful about what he put into his body. The hardest task Malik had to do was call his manager to lay him off due to health issues and he had to recover from his injuries at home.

    ––––––––

During the pandemic: while Malik was at home recovering, he witnessed the world turning upside down due to the virus; casualties and physical, emotional, and mental abuse were causing chaos all around the city looking through the news and on
