Relationships, especially between genders have become a major channel of attack by God’s enemy. Every hour of every day, God’s enemy uses relationships to break hearts, destroy destinies, abort dreams, and even cut-short lives.
Relationships can be easy to get into but can also be such a hurdle to scale over. For this book, I will specifically discuss inter-gender relationships between unmarried males and females in which sex and/or cohabitation are involved. I will attempt to strike a balance by focusing on both genders even though discussion on this issue is almost always more skewed against females.
While almost everything and anything is permissible in the world today, the rules of a relationship are quite different for those of us in God’s kingdom; more so, for those of us who perceive a sense of purpose and destiny in our walk with God through Christ. As children of God, we are not like others. As His heirs, we are exceptional, we are ‘Nazarenes’ who must live by the code of His Book - The Holy Bible - because we were born for good purposes and cannot afford to miss such destinies.
Truly, those called by God's name can’t eat their cake and have it
. We must pay attention and avoid earning
frustration. Dina in Genesis 34 may have taken some cautions for granted when she got raped, lost her virginity, and had to live with very harsh realities and consequences at a tender age. While we are aware that bad things sometimes happen to good people, we must be on guard and thank God for His grace through our Lord Jesus, the grace that gives us second chances or even miraculous third chances in some rare cases.
A fact I discovered through experience is that some of us feel raped in certain relationships, not always because
